  4. Doesn't Commercialisation..uh..I mean Christmas start around Easter time now? Watching TV around this time is a pain as well - every single advert is a Want-Ad for some kiddies toy... Not keen on Christmas - never have been, really. Far too much hassle to do on one day what we all do for each other the whole year... Not give presents and stuff ;) but help each other out when needed.
  5. How do environmental problems spawn disrespectful brats?
  6. Hats off to you for admitting it on here, Danny...many wouldn't... Hope you get your Zed sorted and glad that the biker walked away. Anita.

Have only just returned to the forum after a protracted absence due to the levels some members were abseiling down towards, but IMHO, this forum is just as good as the old one. The threads are more organised and now you can ignore those that don't apply / get out of hand as more than likely they are in a different forum. I like the new site and have happily paid £20 to Craig for the privilege of saving thousands of £s and hours of time on my Zed. Anita.

I think that some on here with imports have gone with The Insurance Factory as they have been reasonable. Afraid I don't have any contact details, but am sure someone will be able to supply them. :) Anita.
  13. Cheers Andy - that'll stop work being done! :D

  17. One of the big problems with today is this crap "softly-softly" attitude that seems to be springing up everywhere. Can't let children have competition as it's bad for them, can't let them fail at exams as it makes them feel inadequate, can't teach them for toffee because we don't have the resources, can't discipline them because that offends their civil liberties, or other nonsense. I can only remember being smacked twice when a child and neither time did it particularly hurt - it was more the shock of having overstepped the line enough to need one. I have a friend who has 4 children. She is a single mother, has been since the youngest were born - they are now 12 and her children are 4 of the best examples I know today. They are articulate, intelligent, polite, appreciative of what they have, rather than clamouring for the latest gadget or brand name. Children need guidelines, rules - discipline, otherwise they are noisy, screaming brats with no respect for anything.
  18. To be even more picky...page 3, bottom picture - the gearstick and handbrake covers look totally out of place there...they don't match anything!
  19. With all that and his Estimated Horsepower is still only 300?? Est. Horsepower: 300
  20. They dooooo look good... :D :D Not sure that I'd want them, per se, but definitely look the business. :)
  21. Damn...that's a bit harsh!
  22. People today tend to be unable to see beyond their little box and what goes on in and around their lifetime. How many can remember who invented the Spinning Jenny or who saved the UK in battles? Most "youngsters" today are more concerned with pressing the right picture on their McDonald's tills and how many goals Beckham has scored... Personally I think that Diana offered hope to a lot of people, for some reason...the world was certainly rocked when she died, but she was nowhere near as important as say, Darwin or Churchill. Although I too believe that Churchill was in the right place at the right time...
  23. Go for Bridgestones... They're excellent tyres... Anita.
  24. Well of course, after RED, then blue is best. :D Grey can look very nice, however. Besides - with Zeds unfortunately you go for the condition of the engine and bodywork and worry about the colour later. If you've found a decent one - nab it! They are few and far between... Anita.
