  2. Not all Scooby drivers are that bad. Have been on quite a few meets with the SN crowd and it's all very friendly and polite. Can't keep up with a Zed, though! :D :D
  3. Once had 7mpg out of the Zed.... Now that was fun! :D :D
  4. Little scrotes...  Hope you find some wingmirrors....
  5. Happy Birthday to a fellow Piscean! :D :D
  6. Checked your clutch fluid of late?
  7. Bristol's not all that far, in Zed terms, so I could probably make it. :) Depending on the date and how much warning I'm given! :D I kid you not, my November & December this year already have most of their weekends filled...

How do you know that the lads were thinking "lesbian"? They might have been thinking "Oh, someone who likes cars" or "Oh, buying for her boyfriend" or, knowing most men's minds, they weren't thinking of anything at all... ;) ;)

I would agree. As soon as I heard the BOVs I would think..."Muppet"....and not bother. :D

Class. :D The Germans are taking more of our words over there at the moment, though. The latest ones when I was living over there were "clever" and "sorry".
  11. As do I...and everyone else that's had to go over there to fight this war...
  12. How do you mean "deal with"? Can't view the site whilst at work, but will definitely view at home! :D
  13. Ah....could've told you to avoid it like the plague.... :D Put it this way, I was watching it and getting bored, thinking it will get going at any moment, glanced at the DVD player and thought "Ohhh...Scene 17...wonder how long this film is then...." Looked at the DVD box.....19 scenes. 20 if you include the credits... Pants. Dire storyline, no explanations of stuff, crowbar'd characters, gaping holes in the plot and continuity errors all over the place. :D
  14. *cough* :D :D Anything American is bound to be worse than the original... Jeepers Creepers is another truly awful, don't bother with it film.... Utter pants, imho. :D Neet.
  15. Oh my word, Paul....gutted for you... I know how I feel when I dink my car, let alone crash it... :( Hopefully Mike will get it sorted and back on the road in no time! :D
  16. Are you talking about the RPS Max Street Clutch? If so, I've just ordered 2 from Whifbitz for £406 + VAT. They are coming from the States. Wifbitz is here
  17. Do you have the black key? That is the spare Master key and you can get others cut from it.
  18. AA couldn't tell you the tyres from the steering wheel, as far as I am concerned. (They once diagnosed my alarm fob battery as the cause of my engine stalling. To be fair, they were close.....it was the PTU... ) If you can, take someone off this forum who has the knowledge and expertise already to know what to look out for, like smoke from the exhausts - different colours mean different things...ie White - condensation - ok, blue/black - oil - NOT ok... For an older car, you're looking at higher mileage anyway and decent UK TT Manuals are VERY hard to come by...trust me! :D Good, regular servicing is worth its own weight in gold. HTH Anita.
  19. I have come across a fantastic way of making a Zed econmical to own. Ready? This could change your life... Don't turn on the ignition. Simple as.... Makes a tank of fuel last for absolutely ages.... :D Neet.
  20. Depends if you replace them with standards or not. I think mine cost approximately £600 a piece, although I had a warranty on my car, which basically meant that I only paid about £200 for the job. Cheers Neet
  21. Welcome to the site, Bram. :) Questions as much as I can answer : What are the auction sites you guys used too buy your Jap-car? I didn't - mine's a UK Spec TT. Or are there any West-European dealers specialised in the 300ZX, or jap-sportcar? There are no doubt some about, but word of mouth is a good recommendation. What are common production faults in the 300ZX, if any? PTU is the main one that most experience here. A series 1 PTU has problems and can cuase the engine to cut out when warm. Swapping this to a Series 2 will rectify that. Other issues depend on how well the car has been looked after and how old it is. Leaky taga rooves cause some consternation, although fortunately mine has never suffered from this. What are the Insurance costs for an unmodded car? The Zed over here is a Group 20 class car and for me personally, being female, 28, unmodded *cough* car, it costs me approx £600 a year to insure. However, there are figures lower and far higher than this. What are the Insurance costs for a modded car? This will depend on the mods and insurance company. As you will be dealing with Dutch companies (presumably) these will differ from UK companies. What sort of mods are you planning? HTH Anita.
  22. As long as you get the Zed serviced regularly, with oil changes and all, she should be fine. Mine was my daily driver for 3 years and not a single problem with the engine. In fact, in the 4 and a half years I've had the Zed, the only issues have been : *PTU (as per) *Turbos (legacy of previous owner) *Clutch - now. So mine has been incredibly reliable. (I've done it now....*frantically touches wood*) :D :D
  23. Splashing About :D :D
  24. Didn't for me...but tis of no matter now, as it's sorted. :D
  25. Steady on there, ol' bean. No need to get abusive! ;)
