  1. Was it recorded or registered delivery? Hi Matty, btw. :D ;)
  2. It's 14 days NOT including the day of offence. However, they are unofficially allowed 17 days to allow for delays in posting.
  3. If they have photographic evidence you are within your rights to see the photos before it goes to court and you don't have to pay for it. I simply wrote a letter and got sent the evidence FREE. Another point - if it's a MOBILE camera and the letter will say on it what you were caught by, then you also have the right to check the calibration evidence of the camera. They must be checked at the START of the shift against a car that has ALSO been calibrated (with certificate to prove this) and again at the END of the shift, with the SAME car. You can request to see this evidence too all BEFORE it goes to court.
  4. Nope...that's just something that can be changed after post counts, I think. Mine says Mice_Elf but I've paid. :) (Obviously. ;))
  5. Dean, if you could, that would be brilliant. :) My Zed doesn't live up here unfortunately...she's ensconced in a nice toasty garage in Bedfordshire although so saying, I might be driving her around for a couple of weeks after the 8th February! ;)
  6. I like the purple ones!! Where did you get them from?
  7. LOL.....Anything to get my mats... ;)
  8. Good thinking. ;) :D
  9. Could copy the 200SX crowd and call them 3hundys. :D ;) Or 3hundies... Sometimes I say 300ZX, sometimes I say Zed...whatever, the reaction is stunning! I've made men walk into lamp posts before now staring at the car! :D Hilarious! :D One chap in a petrol station suddenly couldn't add up. He served the 4 people in front of me with no bother, then when it was my turn it was "That your car?" "No, I just nicked it and decided to spend £45 in petrol on it...." "Yes, it's mine".......stare............more staring...... "Pump 3???"...."oh...yes"......stare............."Do you want me to pay, or should I leave and come back later?"..."uhm...That'll be £45 please".......(hand over cash).....stare...........stare at cash.........stare at car..........."*cough*"....."Oh!...uhhm....." Opens till, inserts money, gives me £40 change...! "Much as I'd like to have just spent £5 on petrol, I don't think I did....." Muppet... ;)
  10. Not all film-less cameras flash once. That used to be the case, but it was too obvious, so the cameras can be set to flash once, twice or thrice.
  11. Is Johnny's still there, sans engine? :D My baby's going there in just over a week. :D
  12. Anyone going near ZedWorld in the near future? Willing to pick up my car mats that I don't think were ever posted? I'm willing to pay postage / come and meet you somewhere to pick them up....I've already paid for them so would like to get some use out of them... Can't get hold of Jeff at the moment and he's not responding to PMs. Either reply here or email me as per profile. Cheers.
  13. And now you have it working you can never use it safe in the knowledge that you could if you wanted to. :D I *do* use CC but you need empty motorway driving really, to get the benefit. :) Have fun! :D
  14. Another thing - wait for the NIP (if any) to arrive...it HAS to arrive WITH you in 14 days (although 17 is accepted given postal complications). If it is written outside the 14 days, then there's nothing they can do to you. See here for more information and the RTA wording of NIPs.
  15. If it's an IR camera, it CAN take you from the front and they will still flash, if it's a film camera, then they cannot. Ask to see the photographic evidence before you say it wasn't you driving, as if it is obvious from the photo, then you will get into more trouble for attempting to "pervert the cause of justice" as it's called... Depends where the tolerance is set. Technically 41mph is speeding in a 40mph zone.... Motorists
  16. Still no snow...just enough wind to open my back gate and flap it about this morning...
  17. Could we move that light to the front, to hang off the bonnet? Might be able to see more of the road, then! :D
  18. Oooooh...whereabouts in the Midlands?? Mewants snow!!
  19. Not 3 times, at least... ;)
  20. LOL...If you have LOTS of fun you can get her down to 7mpg...:o :o :D Welcome to the club! :D
  21. UK cars can cruise between 30 and 100mph. Click Cruise Control on the console, get to your req'd speed and then press Set. Resume Acceleration means you can put your foot down again until a higher speed and then press SET again. Touching the brakes or clicking Cancel turns off cruise. :)
  22. Just a hint, maybe... ;) ;) Of course. :D :D
  23. Flattery will get you everywhere. ;) ;) :D
  24. Nah...I could go on for ever if I included options such as they, Andy.... ;)
