  1. A trader & 300zx specialist on this Forum....see Traders section.
  2. Check out the traders section on this Forum There is also the Zcentre. Your looking at around £350-400 for a full set (shocks only) and around £180 for springs. I've just bought a new set of Tokico HP shocks and new springs from MJP autos, although it looks like one of the new shocks is faulty - but that another story!
  3. I am reliably informed that Zautos is still in Business and doing very well. Assuming this is Chris of Zautos he should still be able to do it for you.
  4. Get them! They will always resell if they don't work out-which they will.
  5. For what its worth, I think that darker red would look very nice and work very well with a white car. Its good to be different! Go for it!
  6. Hi, I went for the Original style replica spoiler for my car and TBH I think it was the wrong choice. Don't get me wrong, I like the look of the 'original' car, but the spoiler is what slightly dates it now. I wish I had got the 99 spec - and its the same price too! As for the view issue - the 99 spec can't give a better view. It will actually hinder the view more than the original cos it sticks up. Worth this small sacrifice though as the car looks more to date. HTH:)
  7. LOL! Don't worry mate, you're not on your own. I have many days like this!
  8. IIRC, I think you can just pull the rear seat up off its clips and prop it up a little. The carpet doesn't go all the way under, it just tucks under and is push clipped down.
  9. This is a Jap Spec? shock: How long as it been in the UK? Any idea why its so bad? Good on you anyway for keeping another Z on the road!
  10. Assuming you get hold of some of these, when you fit them, be very careful as there is some play in the fitment and if you get it wrong the temp gauge and/or fuel gauge will catch stopping them from working. IIRC you need to fit the temp gauge ring as right as possible and the fuel gauge ring to the left as possible. There is very little give, but as said enough to cause problems if you get it wrong. HTH:)
  11. Hi Folks, I am having to change the lower rear shock bushes. I have managed to butcher the old ones out and have got some ES replacements to fit. There looks to be a metal sleeve left in the arm....I am wondering is this part of the OEM bush and does it need to come out? Also is it actually possible to press/pull the ES replacement in with the arm still on the car and without a 30tonne hydraulic press!? I am thinking it might not be possible and have to buy some new OEM ones as they are much softer and should be easier to get in. Any comments/help/advice is much appreciated....I can't use my Z now cos I gone past the point of no return!:smash::smash: Thanks Guys.
  12. I'm sure this wasn't truely meant, he was probably just trying to be funny! That's the trouble with the internet, words can be read in many different ways without tone of voice and/or face expression to accompany them:wack: Back on topic - dipstick popping - PCV valves.
  13. Lets us know what sort of improvement you find with going to the 345mm disk kit. Are you keeping the standard calipers and if so are you getting the enlarged pads for the larger disks? Cheers.
  14. Thank you for posting a conclusion to this. To often threads get left unfinished, so we don't find the answers. I might try one of these based on your findings. Cheers.:duffer:
  15. Nice vid! Are you finding the car a completely different drive now with the conversion? Is it all for the better? I'm assuming it feels quicker in 2nd & 3rd and will also sound a lot better with out all that auto slippage! I am finding the money to convert my car soon.
  16. Thanks very much, I now have a copy of all 3 on disk :)
  17. Thanks guys, I will try 10mm first then look at 15mm for the rear... I can't lower the car cos it barely makes it into the garage as standard!
  18. Keep us posted on this one, would like to know the cause of your leak.
  19. Might/will rub on the top of the arch under compression of suspension.
  20. I believe the most likely culprit will be the rear main oil seal if oil lools like its coming from the gearbox bell housing. I currently have a leak from this which is slowly getting worse. It is a gearbox off job to replace, even though the seal itself is very cheap. I will be changing mine at the same time as my Manwell conversion!
  21. Brill..........how do I save them to disk?! They do look a lot better with bigger wheels though.
  22. Anymore suggestions Folks?........
  23. Worcesters are great boilers, get one of these with a Net input of over 30KW and you'll have plenty of hot water. Some thing like a Worcester 532i....nice boiler, economical, powerful, not over complicated. 32 standing for 32kw....
