  2. have been looking on courtesy web site but cant find connectors!!! am i blind?? part nos would be usefull!!!
  3. hi guys im after a set of injector and coil pack connectors? can i get these from dealer? if so can i have part numbers? if not where else can i get them?? did have a set 2 years ago but by the time i needed them theyve gone walkies!!!!! also can you get any other engine loom connectors??? regards steven
  4. is there any advantage of fitting skyline brembo r33 rear calipers?? would they fit?? just like the look of them!!!
  5. hi smithy! what about the rears calipers?? how are the brackets coming on for fitting r33 dicsc with std calipers? how much better would the braking be without calipers? regards steven
  6. hi will skyline r33 gtr brembo calipers fit to my z32? if not what mods would it take?? regards steven
  7. im a full time mechanic, but always label everything when taking out this particular engine as i know when it comes out it may be for a while, and everybody tends to forget over time!! as i take each bolt out i make a board from polystyrene mat write something for each bolt on board then push bolt into board so it stays where you put it! sounds girly but ive never miplaced a bolt with this method!! never heard of dropping subframe to remove engine? always remove gearbox as its so much easier to disonnect all parts at back of engine! i used old seat belt to hoist engine with a buckle bolted to each side of plenumn where bracket for std boost solenoid is fitted!! good luck
  8. rollers are origonal so even though they have done only 60k have beed sat sround for 14 years so i suppose its peace of mind? can anyone enlighten me on the cam springs etc as i have not heard of these before???
  9. whilst engine is out i am changing cam-belt, should i be changing belt rollers at the same time? dealer want 3 at 80 pound each!!! is there any where else i can get them?? should i also change hydraulic damper as ive been qouted 430 for this!!!!
  10. hi guys i want to fit elec fan and remove viscous, i know its contraversal but im going for it!! am also removing aircon system including condensor radiator and origonal elec fan! my question is does it matter if i fit blow fan on front or suck fan or rear of rad?? i like the thoughtof fitting fan on front where old elec was so it would free up loads of space in front of engine?
  11. thanks for the help! so if i remove air con condersor radiator, elec fan wont sit close enough to coolant rad so i would be better fitting aftermarket large fan and removing viscous?? if i fitted elec fan to front of rad that would leave space free to refit viscous if ever required!!! has any one ever thought of fitting small fans to oil and auto box coolers? you could tie them in so came on with elec fan?? dont know if fans used for stereo builds would be powerfull enough??? there about 3inch x 3inch??
  12. hi guys on friday i removed engine then yesterday carried out a total externall strip of engine back to bare head and block assembly so i can check everything and replace all seals gaskets and common parts!! 1. what do the numbers 3A mean stamped on each of my heads on the lip where cam cover is fitted? 2. im removing aircon as i dont use it and am going for perfomance instead of luxury! can i remove electric fan assembly? or is it used as additional cooling when viscous cant cope? 3, viscous fans are load bearing andf can slow down warm up temp,s so would it be a good idea to remove it and fit large race fan to front of radiator to give better work space under bonnet? 4, are lightened crank pulleys a good way to go?? engine has done 60.000 miles and on inspection is excellant through out! if pulley good way to go can you get ones for without air-con or do i just leave that belt of?? that is all for now but im shore ill think of some more questions soon!!! any help gratefully recieved! regards steven
  13. to make clear i did not remove engine to peplace sensor!!!!! i have engine out to replace feed pipes to my t28 hybrid's, fit 555 mismo injectors and port exhaust manifolds etc whilst out i am removing all excess equipment i.e egr set up etc including air-con!! i have been advised to change knock sensor and loom even though i dont have problem with it!! i assume det sensor stil works with modded chip?? if i fit knock monitor display will it still control ecu as well?? what is knock sensor torque setting??
  14. no i wouldnt remove engine to fit det sensor!!! :slap: why would you want to bodge sensor???
  15. JUST GOT HOME FROM REMOVING MY ENGINE THIS EVENING!! :nana2: spoke to my local very good nissan dealer (unusual i know) about supplying det sensor and was quoted 175 for it! is this right, if so is there anywhere cheaper to buy proper one? also they are having a problem finding wiring loom to sensor on micro-fiche, does anyone have part no for loom and approx price?? what torque setting should sensor bolt be as i understand too tight or loose will cause sensor to read wrong?? regards steven
  16. thanks for the info! think ill try a find someone in my area who does it all the time?? i do have the tools to do it myself but think there a bit of an art to doing a whole manifold! would the pair have to be closely matched or is it not that critical?
  17. hey guys! engine will be out by the weekend again and have spent all evening reading up on all the useless c++p for emmissions i can remove! whilst i was there have been checking my engine mod spec and it looks like the only thing slowing me down will be my stock manifols! as i have t25/t28 tubs, split divorse down pipe, greedy i/c's, nismo 555 etc etc! i cant afford new tubular manifolds so is porting and polishing them worth wile???? is there any real probs with removing all emission etc parts! dont really fancy removing engine for 3rd year running! regards steven
  18. i use quanium fully synthetic 10/40 which i use on all my cars and all my higher performane customers car! never had a problem on anything!! only 23 pound for 5 litres and trade i can get at 16 (bargain)
  19. i have eagle f1's and copperfield carbon pads on std disc! and havent felt the need to upgrade sus and brakes untill now! havent had car on road since start of power upgrade as when fitting t25/t28 tubs i was supplied wrong oil feed pipes so when all put back together pipe leaked oil onto turbo!!! not good, so havent driven for a year whilst finishing other projects! this week i have started taking engine out to get pipes sorted and whilst im there fit mismo 555cc injectors! i wanted to get engine all tuned and sorted over winter as this i cant do myself and will take a while, , where as fitting all sus and brake mods are very easily done as i own my own garage. my plan is to sort out power mods this side of xmas then sus and brakes before getting on road for spring! i was thinking of eibach springs with kyb shocks, and std size uprated discs to go with pads all round!! just thought that rltc even though premature is such a good deal its worth doing it backwards, is it not????????
  20. thanks for the help! as i can see all suspention looks origonal! it does handle well at mo but have never been in zed with modded sus! i think its too late to join rltc gb, as you say its probally better to get racelogic at good price now and wait for suspention may be when good deal comes along! i am a little worried about auto box but have heard these can take better power than manual as there more progressive at getting power down??? car and box has done 60k with decent upgrade cooler and regular oil changes so i hope itll be ok! if not its an excuse to buy upgrade!!!! thanks for help guys! regards steve
  21. hi my 1993 auto tt is still on std origonal suspention! which isnt ideal and am soon to be running 450bhp, and always worry about back end stepping out! well and truly! should i jump at group buy for racelogic or fit kyb adjustable shocks and eibach springs?? i can only afford 1 untill spring and wont be using car much over winter!!
  22. this sound like ideal kit! how much would set, set me back in uk and where can i buy? any one recommended?? im still running origonal std suspention so its got to be knackered by now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  23. yes i did this to my zed soon as i got it! too many people forget how important it is, am a bit worried about how many metal filling that bloke found, sound excessive to me! my magnet and gauze didnt have much in it at all and that was at 60,000 miles!!
  24. i currently have upgraded  Greedy I/C'S oil cooler uprgade auto box cooler bulged and vented bonnet (soon to be fitted) vented h-lamp front panel hybrid tub's (t25/28) split dump downpipes and custom de-cat 555cc nismo injectors ETC ETC so koyo radiator, new water pump ect would mean im good to go??? just going to take engine out shortly so is there any other parts suggested??? i.e lightened pulleys etc?? i do like the air-con mainly to clear windscreen etc so want to keep it! i would consider ditching it if it packed up!
  25. hey guys! quick question? im soon to be running approx 450bhp would uprated radiator and uprated thermostat be advised? whats the advantage of stat opening 10degrees sooner?? any help gratefully recieved! regards steven
