  1. hey guys listen up! i can tell you the best/easiest rout cos i have just been playing round for 3 months being the guinee pig! i my opinion!!!!!! get t28 tubs get smithy down pipes! yes they are alot longer but just means in the long run flanges are easier to get too, and just infront of gear box! you can then either buy late series 2 de-cats, or get a guy to custom your own spec! my set up is: 1) downpipe with 3 bolt flange, 2) pipes made to fit from 3 bolt flange along each side of gear box to a 2 bolt flange directly in front of cat 3) modify old cats(if required) with 2 bolt flanges at either end (directly as cats open into pipe work) 4) get straight pipes and or small silencer ipes with 2 bolt flanges at either end, so that come mot or track day all you need to change is short cat pipe! to make this easier i used sseries 1 de-cats and cut them up to reuse silencers and pipe work! sorry if im not explaining to well! if i post some pictures it will show how easy it eventuly was!!!!
  2. hey guys! yes am now running t28 tubs with twin ddownpipes as smithy described! in the end they just passed rhd steering column, from the down pipe to rear silencers i got stainless exhaust specialist to make up connecting pipes! these were flanged either side of cat so that i can now change easily between cat, de-cat silencer and straight through pipe, only takes about 10mins now! will try to post some pics!! as yet dont know how they perform, still finishing off!!
  3. just checked fuel pump thats ok! took spark plug out and its soaking wet!!
  4. ohhhhh bu**er! just been running engine up after engine out, was just warming up when got a leak so turned off, now leak is cured tryed to start and engine just spins over and wont go! any ideas where to start looking? is there any sensors etc that can cut engine??? please help!!!! steven :mad:
  5. hey guys just refilled power steering and bled by turning lock to lock, but now the hicas light has come on! is this probaly cos air in rear rack??? if so, do i : run engine, open rack bleed nipples till fluid comes through???

  7. hey guys! looking to set my controller up, does any one have the formula for convertiny KG/CM to PSI! looking to get around 12-14 psi to start with! also to set throttle sensor do these run; throttle closed 0v open 3v-5v OR closed 3v-5v open 0v thanks guys! steven

  12. hey guys, not been on hear for a while, how is everyone? at last after nearly 3 months my zed is ready to fire up again! im now after some info on what psi i should be running and tech advise on how to set up AVCR controller! can you guys please help!!!!! right where do i sttart, this is my current setup: blitz sus induction Greddy twin intercoolers t25/t28 smithy hybrid tubs twin-divorse tub down pipes AVCR boost controller inter-changable de-cat pipes (staight or silenced) scorpion rear silencers mines ECU standard fuel injectors uprated oil and trans coolers auto g-box ( 93 model) C2 gauges i think thats about it! will this mines ecu give enough fueling for this set_up?? worried about melting it! sorry its long winded any help gratfully recieved!!!!! steve :dance:
  13. hey guys! im looking to get a uprated set of plugs as im gonna be running 400bhp odd, thinking of going for the denso ones instead of splashing out on ythe pricey HKS! what is the correct code and heat range for the denso plugs!! cheers guys!!!

  17. hey guys! took my engine out sat to fit new tubs etc. :dance: found my engine mounts are shot, does any one do good upgrades for these or am i better off getting new standard ones??? :hyper:

  20. hey guys! i am fitting oil cooler kit and changeing oil at same time! so gonna have cooler and sump pan in hands to play with! just wondered where best to fit sendor? only prob with fitting to cooler is that its under pressure so more prone to leaks and prob not as accurate as connecting to box!
  21. hey guys im fitting a transmission temp gauge to my japp tt auto, has anjy one got one of these fitted? if so is there somewhere to scwrew in sendor or will i have to drill and weld adapter into sump pan? thanks guys!
  22. thanks for the help people! ive got a 2=post ramp so should make it a lot easier, considered dropping the whole lot but didnt think the inlet manifold would pass between the chassis legs! does it? if so would be easier than taking box off then lifting engine!
  23. where would you normally connect the engine craine to? cant see any lifting eyes at the moment! shouldnt have to remove inlet manifold should i??? what other parts should i provisionaly get? eg coolant and oil hoses etc thanks for the help guys :dance:
  24. hi guys ive got a jap spec tt AUTO and am looking to remove engine to fit a pair of smithy's t28 hybrid tub's, would it be better to remove engine and gearbox, or split torque converter and just remove engine???? i have noticed a very slight amount of oil weeping from between eng and g-box, would this be the crank main seal starting to leak? is it worth worrying about?? any one like to take bets on how long this is gonna take me?? :hyper:

    H.I.D lights are the way forward, just got mine from germany, most people say there getting about 150w power from these 30w bulbs £160 and £9.99 for a dremel and youre good to go! mine are going in when my Greedy intercoolers turn up!!! :dance:
