hi guys! i have just fitted eibach springs and kyb shocks to my 2+2! the trouble is a have removed air-con, egr etc etc which makes front end lighter, and have big stereo boot build which makes rear end heavier! if i look at tyre to wheel arch clearance the front end sits 1 to 2 cm's highter than rear! is there anything that can be done about this????? regards steven

thanks for youre help i wll cut the wire and see how she goes! when you say unit right of the ecu, would that mean left on right hand drive as there is nothing right of engine ecu in my footwell???

sounds crude, but that would work! was just worried if the engine ecu etc would get upset if it couldnt find hicas?

hi guys! have just started zed for first time in a year after carrying out a hell of a lot of work! but now have 2 small problems, 1) i have removed all hicas setup inc solenoids etc but now the light stays on all the time? how do i put this out????? :confused: 2) which vacumn hose controls the dash boost gauge? as my boost controller has boost reading but dash doesnt? :( regards steven

sound like youre battery to me mate! if the battery has shorted out trying to jump start may not make it much better! only way to rule out is to try new battery or to disconnect old battery and connect jump leads straight to wireing terminals! hope that helps?? regards steven

hi guys! i cant decide wether to buy optima yellow top or red top? :confused: my zed is a weekrnd toy so is often sat for a few weeks, i also have high power sound system that i would sometimes like to have running with car off without going flat! i have red top already which i was told was better for my situation but optima web-site says the opposite??? any help gratefully recieved! regards steven

hi guys! just got my engine running on sat after a year off the road my dilema is:- i have binned viscous fan and aircon/ back up elec fan, buy want to get zed on the road asap! 1)do i buy a koyo or haste rad and stick an elec fan to it! 2)do i wait for ash rad fan and shroud set-up which may take a while as i dont think rad are made yet and group buy! 3)screw on viscous and hope i dont need back up fan 4)leave it sat in corner! if option 1 why do most people fit koyo even though haste rad has better spec?? any sensible suggestions greatly recieved!! regards steven

i would go for blue! just had my beetle done in ford imperial blue! (import ford colour) its pearlesent and goes from deep blue to purple! bit different from the common blues!

hey james! why are so many wheel alignment specisists morons?? :headvswal like previously stated surely you crack off lock nuts then tunn centre adjustor!! if you get stuck james bring it round sat morning and well have a play and see why its so difficult or not!! surely once its on my 2 post ramp that gives you lots of room?? we can make a questimate then tell fools how to carry out final set up!!

im 5 miles from goodridge, and they currently have my std hoses, from 92 jap tt, so i will hopefully be getting an exact copy of origonals!! no zip tie's for me!!! will let you know how i get on!!

i choose smithy's t25/28 hybrids because they have a smaller t25 housing with bigger t28 impellord they spool up realy fast! compiled with twin divorse dump pipes it runs a treat, not the most power you can get from a zed but whats the point of a bhp reading if you get soo much lag an oap with a larder could keep up with you!!! :xxx: would be ideal if youre looking for 400rwhp! hope that helps??

i read that tech section and thought it was wrong in my opionion! it looks like they remove pressure valve from pump? i personally have just carried out my own mod which involved removing rear plate from pump and taking out pump impellor and vains! this way you can make a blank on pump hicas outlet and dont have to reroute hose back to resevior (crude imo) i can only assume by removing valve the pump is no longer creating pressure? tell me what you did to pump and ill have a look at mine tom and see if i can work it out!!! regards steve
