  6. thanks greg scratch the cam sprocket and water pump gasket then. iv got traces of oil at the back end of the sump (between engine and 'box) so im guessing main seal does need replacing. but if its a gearbox out job i'll leave it for a garage to do that later. do you mean the 2 pipes that sit behind the fan? one has the two sensors on it? i'll make sure i check them
  7. well i was back in the driving seat for a whole one day and my water pump failed so the zed is again off the road. it's due its 60K service soon so i think im gonna have a go at it, i want to do as much on the car myself as i can so i can learn more! had a look at the 60K maintenance guide on ttzd.com and just want to check with you guys if there is anything else i should do while im at it: Spark Plugs Fuel Filter Timing Belt Alternator Belt A/C Belt Power Steering Belt Auto-Tensioner Thermostat Water Outlet Hoses (2 req'd) Water Pump Water Pump Gasket Cam Seals (4 req'd) Main Seal Intake Cam Sprocket O-rings (2 req'd) Intake Cam Sprocket Springs (2 req'd) Main Crank Sprocket Crank Rear Spacer i did an oil and filter change very recently myself so no need for those. other things to do at the same time (because its easier and might as wel while its off the road) cos they WILL be done sooner or later: Lightweight Pulley (need different belts) Plenum water bypass (no idea what i need) Paint throttle cable and cam covers SS rad pipes SS intake pipes NA power steering pump and hicas removal Tranmission fluid change have i forgotten missed anything? will probably start this mamoth task in 2-3 weeks. any of the leics guys fancy getting their hands oily? lots of tea, sandwiches and biscuits! Cheers Yaseen
