Toyota Supra twin turbo
I don't believe the Zed isn't in the same range as the rest (Supra, GTO, RX7 etc) they should all be worth roughly the same by rights. I love my Zed but don't think any car in that group is worth £20k+ (excluding your Zed, my personal favourite in the club and I don't even like SWB's!!). The NSX is and was on launch a higher lever car than the others. The S15 has never dipped below £10k from what I remember. I see the S14 has gone up in value though! Probably due to the majority being driven into the ground by the drifting community. I suppose Japanese cars in general should be going up in value, due to badge snobbery against them lowering as time goes on (similar to what happened with Fords for example), so I guess we should probably accept the higher values!

Toyota Supra twin turbo
I wouldn't pay £20k for a Zed personally. I think £10-15k max for any of the Japanese supercar-like models, barring the NSX. Not checked prices recently but isn't £25k into NSX territory? There's no comparison between the two cars as far as I'm concerned. I do like the MkIV Supra, the 2JZ engine is superb, but definately prefer the Mk3 or the A60 models. As a comparison to the Z32 you only need to look at Joel's pics to see which has aged better, inside and out . A lot of the Japanese cars which are holding and climbing in value are ones related to movies, such as models from The Fast & Furious mentioned above and the AE86 from Initial D for example. I guess a lot of the earlier Gran Turismo poster cars too... the Supra & Skyline fit into that catagory amongst others. One car I've never understood which has always held its value is the later version of the S14 180SX. I've always been fond of these but last time I checked a few years ago the earlier models were around £3-4k but the later ones closer to £10k.....

KSport Discs and pads
Arrrrgh forgot to renew last summer, been a bit busy will resub! Whats the main difference between Bluestuff & the NDX version? The DC Performance site I posted above has the Bluestuff pads for £115, doesn't say NDX anywhere though.

KSport Discs and pads
Can't seem to edit posts anymore: Are Bluestustuff pads ok at low speeds and everyday driving? It's very rare I will do a trackday, possibly 1 a year. So mainly for occasional use over the summer months, including a bit of spirited driving on clear country roads.

KSport Discs and pads
I'd probably lean more towards a fast road pad, Yellowstuff are closer to what I'd want from EBC. Also there are Pagid pads on that web page. Not had any experience with those before, OEM spec or performance level. I've been happy with the performance of Ferodo pads in the past. Quite dusty but thats not really an issue. Do Yellowstuff pads still suffer from crumbling round the edges? I had two mates who had them on different cars a few years ago and it happened to both, not sure if it was caused by grooved discs though (with the pads being fairly soft?)

KSport Discs and pads
Looking to get my Z back on the road for spring and searching for some replacement front disks & pads. I have the old style, dark grey Ksport 330mm set Was wondering if anyone has compared the standard K-Sport pads to Ferodo DS2500s, as the price difference is huge? Also I assume I would need the 6mm>8mm bolt inserts? Will keep looking but unless anyone knows of anywhere different here are the cheapest I've found the discs so far : http://www.bigbrakes4u.co.uk/k-sport-brake-kits/ksport-replacement-2-piece-disc-rotors/k-sport-330mm-replacement-rotors/prod_496.html Pads (cheapest for both the K-Sport & Ferodo pads): http://www.dcperformance.co.uk/uprated/k-sport-kit-front-brake-pads.html

Low Profile Jack
Some good options there, cheers guys. Will get a set of those ramps and decide on a jack. only about 20 mins away from all 3 places luckily! Was that one in Costco recently Andrew?

Low Profile Jack
I was going to use my jack to do some work on the daily car today and realised I must have lost the blooming thing when moving house  so going to have to get a new one! It's been years since I've jacked the Z up with a normal jack as I've used a mates garage for most of the work I've done over the past few years, but swear I used to have to drive onto blocks and then jack the subframe from behind the front wheel... Does anyone have a recommendation of a low profile jack that would allow using from the front of the car to jack the subframe? (Understand I'll still need to drive onto planks to get the jack under) I think the main issue I can see with a lot of the low profile ones, is they still seem to still have a high body, which I assume to to still allow the pivot to be high? Not an issue when jacking up a low car with sill jacking points, but still a pain when trying to get to the subframe on a Z.... also you have the issue of space to move the handle.

What did you do to your zed today?
Mine is the same as this but also fairly rippled which could be down to the finish (same as the sideskirts, all fitted by a previous owner). It was bonded around the edges which has started coming away the past few months so need to do something with it. What options do we have for 89 spoilers currently?

Jae entrance **EXPENSIVE **
Have to agree, I went to JAE at Billing a couple of times in the early 2000s and remember it being full of nice cars, and a fair bit of static stuff going on. Was a good laugh and not too expensive Then went to it once when it moved somewhere else nearby in Northants, with a drift oval added (around 2004-2006) The only other time I attended was last year at Newark, and chose the Sunday as was working on Sat.... which was a bad choice!!!

Decided on my zeds new look.
I don't mind the colour at all, sure it will look great with your spec list. Reminds me of the Top Secret cars of the late 90's but they were a slightly yellower shade if I remember.

Fuel cap
Sorted cheers everyone

Fuel cap
I started car up after work and it wasn't running right, put it down to crap in the fuel as was fairly low and drove to petrol station. Opened the lid there to find the cap missing... Now the car ran perfectly in the morning so I think I might have leaned on the lever when opening the boot. I'm thinking during the day some idiot with 3 brain cells saw the lid open and thought it would be funny to take the cap.... It was in a multi story parked next to the door so in clear view of everyone who walked onto that floor. Tried an mx5 cap which fits but doesn't seem to seal so wondering if anyone has a spare to sell?
