The S13 200SX was gorgeous when released and a perfect introduction to the jawdropping Z32 that was to follow. Unfortunately a good S13 is very hard to find and the looks have dated too quickly. The S14 unfortunately really side the side down in the looks department and the car became a non-event from a desirability point of view. The engineering is great though, if you can ignore the looks (which is not too difficult).

Looking around my interior, the worst item is definitely the worn interior door handles. Read on here that the best replacements are the Terrano II chrome handles. Is this correct and are any mods/additional bits required? Where's the best place to get them and how much should I pay? Thanks.

I have a similar issue. Sometimes light, sometimes heavy. Jeff of Zedworld suggested an ECU related issue but nothing major.

LWB is certainly slightly more elegant.

2 seater - SWB 2+2 - LWB Also, from the outside, on the SWB, the fuel cap is in front of the rear wheel arch. On the LWB, it's to the back of the rear wheel arch.

Guys, let's call it a day as we're not exactly getting anywhere and the debate is evolving dangerously. I'm sure there are other sites for these debates, full of like minded individuals, and all going no where. I think we all agree that moral and behavioural standards in the UK have dropped significantly. Let's do what we can to improve things and I certainly agree that if the police is ineffective then we should, where relevant, take matter in to our own hands. More worrying is the fact that the govenment has, over the last 30 years, destroyed the manufacturing and technology base of the UK. The situation today is that Germany, France and Italy to name but a few have their own car, telecoms etc. industries whilst we have nothing. We don't even have our own energy companies anymore! This is the real issue and what we need to fix, otherwise Britain will become a 3rd (or 4th) world country with no prospect of an improvement.

I was just waiting for the racists and bigots to join the debate. What a golden opportunity! I thought this was a 300ZX forum? Are there no rules or guidelines for the forum? Just when I was beginning to think the club was full of decent intelligent people... BTW, the 300ZX is a Japanese car. Story aside, I fully agree with the essence of the thread. What we need is former New York Mayor Giuliani's zero tolerance policy. Sure, there will be some innocent victims, but unfortunately that's a price that has to be paid. The level of hooliganism and bad behaviour IN SOME PARTS OF THE UK is appalling, but then it's been allowed to get that way and still, no one is prepared to do anything about it. This is why today we have a society that because of fear, will not interject if it sees people being raped, murdered, bullied or harrassed.

My Z is pearl white and not too impressed as it's basically a dirty white (yes, it's washed and clean and shiney!). Personally I would go for Ferrari blood red. The best colour for a Z in my opinion (or for any real sports car). Yellow is nice too. Not may cars look gr8 in yellow, the Diablo being one of them. The colour for a true exotic.

Guys, Pleased to see this has been useful. I'm afraid the pics might be a while as I've only just put everything back together again so not planning on pulling everything out just yet! However, as soon as i do, I'll post the pics. Any questions, please let me know. Internal radio performance is as good on FM as it is on AM & LW so no issues there. Before you do anything though, not sure if an internal aerial and cables are fitted in all markets. Mine's a Japanese import NA. I actually think the aerial recess on the body is very neat and a great piece of detailing and design. Only spoilt by the aerial coming out!
