  1. Hi guys not been about much been busy, That said my car will be on the road by christmas. only taken five years. My question is : The tyre size i have is 235 / 40 zr18 at front and 265 / 35 zr at the rear. can i go bigger at the rear or will it afect the drive? dont think ill go lower than 35 profile but not sure also think using falkin is it 525s not sure. Any ideas welcome
  2. :rockon: See i posted for help and the question was probly to much to anwser then put this thread up and got help poss on my doorstep nearly rackheath is at most ten mins away. For that referal has has probly done him a treat and thanks ill give him a ring today. But i think someone poss me or others should collect info whos sh-t hot at what and where and list because not wanting to take work off of the big traders i cant afford to take my car half way cross country to get it sorted but with a little man with some savy with 300 will keep alot more on the road. If you live in somerset or elsewhere why would someone give you a local guy to norwich for help . that said this is why exactly why we need this post. there is not only traders that can help with all sorts of situations and problems we have skilled and helpfull pepole all over the place at cost or no cost that people need. for instance ive got 15 years in the car bodywork game and if someone was stuck or needed help i would gladly help.localy or on telephone, likewise you now told me about a chap in rackheath who could possible help me after a 5 min chat if not heed come out or id take car to him.bassically ive now been told about someone who live ten mins away from me of whom i never new about of whom i could of aske aswell two weeks ago when i posted my post and noone could help. Me thoinks this would be a good idea, and thanksl.

Yer i tried that but nothing, As i said even with the slave cylinder off i thought as i was pumping the pedal thenfluid would come out but nothing and it still seats in the resivior, unless ? do you need the slave cylinder on to create the pressure, cas if thats the case ill get a new slave cylinder first and try that.
  7. My car has been standing fo a coulple of years now whilst doing engine and tubs ect. So there i was trying to bleed the clutch and i started to get a pedal then went stiff just before pop, No fluid loss but pedal gone. Found that the slave cyliner has seezed and i think the peddal went hard then gone. I took of the slave cylinder of thinking that when i pump the peddal the fluid would pump out.but it just seats in the resivouir. So im thinking i must of poped the clutch master cylinder. Just this sound right. and any idear of a guide to remove master cylinder. Just had a go jesus got the wiring out the way, looks like a right pain job. any guides or better still anyone in norwich can do will pay to put right?

  10. i have tacken said unit of the car and because the car has sat around four 4 years i think it just seezed, having said that i dont know what im looking at and im thinking the inside just looks dry but solid, therefor seazed
  11. Whers the best cheapest place to by a clutch slave cylinder for my 1990 tt man
  12. if i have built up to much pressure on and old tired slave cylinder and poped a seal or what ever is in them then if i have would it nessasarly leak or could i just break it?

  15. no i never let the fluid run dry or get low and no i started from the bottom

I was bleeding the clutch from the bottom and had fulid comming out into a glass jar i was just then getting a peddal that feels like it was going well then it went a little hard then all of a sudden the peddel has gone and whats more i cant get the resisdence back and there seems to now be a noty feel to the pedal at the bottom . What have i done/ broke? :cursing:

  20. if i had a bad exhaust blow right on the manifold where the downpipe is could it affect the reving of the car, ie to hesitate for a mo then pick up?

  22. i know of a mate who now dose not use his car and only this weak took it of the road because he dosent use it from one week to the next and theres nothing wrong with it at all and he says his going to sell it ,and to my knowlege your going to buy this just for a couple hundred less seems mad for the risk?
