why hasnt any tried this yet?
The RB26 had a tendancy to over rev and the standard crank doesn't like it. I know of three Skylines that have written the crank off just by going airborn over a humpback bridge. The car over revs and twists the crank. The myth of the skyline really is beyound what the car really is. The engine that Nissan went seriously racing with wasn't a RB26, but a 3.5 ltr V8. A scaled down version of the VH45. As used in the RC390

Importing Parts & Accessories
Most US suppliers will make goods at a lot less their value meaning you pay less import Tax, but should it be lost then you would only be insures for that amount. However if you pay by Visa then they are insured via thr Visa card. http://www.z1motorsport.com/index.php http://www.amzperformance.com/z32 and http://www.courtesyparts.com all ship to the UK. They will all offer shipping Vai Feddex or UPS. UPS have never lost anything I've ordered and are the quickest. Feddex loose about half your stuff for at least 2 weeks, but it will eventually get there.

I actually saw a hypnoticed about 4 years ago and haven't smoked since. Though I must admit that using the PCV pipes with the bushes in as a temporay chilum may have worked. :wack:

aerodynamically tested CARBON FIBRE body shells and aero parts
I too am aiming at some time this year to get a effective rear defuser sorted along with other body mods that I hope are both functional and aesthetic. I have the designs, but lack the time and space to put them into reality at the moment.

Is it true that red Zeds are slower?

Is it true that red Zeds are slower?
:hurl: I pictured you as a nice girl, but the image that put into my mind put me off lunch. Anyway it all depends on the weather. Blue is much quicker on hot days because its cool and we all know that turbocharged engines like the col weather.

Independant Valuation
In effect yes. Normally the Salvage value of your car is based at 20 or 25% of the total loss value the insurance company agree with you. However I just told them that I wanted £18K based on what it would cost to buy a car and rebuild the same again. Then I said that I wanted to pay no more than £3K for the salvage of my car should it be written off. They then looked at the fact I've had 4 cars insured with them for 12 years. That My mothers car and outlaws cars etc are all now insured with them via my introduction. The fact that at that point I had never made a claim and came back with a figure of £900 per anum as a good risk to them.

Independant Valuation
You can ring various insurance companies and ask to speek to their underwriters and explain that you've invested x amount of money into your car and you wish to insure your car for a value that would allow you to get a like for like replacement value. Not all will be interested, but some will though the premium will be higher than normal. My insurance company asked for photographs and copy recipts for the parts installed though they would not insure the labour values other than bodyworks. It costs me £900 per anum and I have a garrenteed total loss value of £18,000 and in case of it being written of a garrenteed salvage buy back of £3,000.

aerodynamically tested CARBON FIBRE body shells and aero parts
I would be interested if the parts were to my tastes as the main reason for the Zeds inability to be honed into a sublime handling motor is due maily to its lardy content (it weights too much in the rong places) However if we're just going to be offered a CF version of a Stroseck Wide arch kit then thats me out, because it is a very old fashioned design and not where I want my car to be.

My Brakes are Poo! Help
Swings and roundabouts as the Mintex have the edge when cold and in the wet, but yes I'll agree.
