at what bhp do you up rate crankshaft?
The HKS2530's are Garrett GT2871RS's turbos with a pysically smaller waist gate. HKS, Blitz etc only buy in good quality stuff made by people like Garrett, Greddy, Exeedy, Mitsubishi etc. So going dirrect or to a registered Autherised dealer of the manufacturer can save you ££££'s. The UK Garrett distributor is Turbo Dynamics in Pool, Dorcet. If you tell them that your after the GT28 Roller bearing turbos for a 300zx they'll supply them with the smaller waste gate so they can fit into the engine bay. You'l need 5stud down pipes though. Also speek to John Dixon or Andy P about getting a better chip. Infact do this first and have the thing set up properly. John Dixons car with Chip, induction and boost controler pushed 370 RWHP Dynoed after being set up using a wide band lamber.

Wheels
What you talking about Chris. The standard R33 GTR wheels are 17's and fit fine, but what you ment to say was that with aftermarket wheels it is wiser to go with 18's as all but a few 17's will not fit. He carn't help it he's from Yorkshire

Advice on paddle clutch slipping
I have the Exeedy twin plate carbon clutch and I was told the same that ir need about a thousand miles to bed in before giving it serious stick. I've done around 7K on it and its really good. I doo find that if your in heavy traffic for an hour or so. Like Manchester rush hour or the M56 on a Friday Tea time during the spring and summer then it does get a little too bitey. You know just either off or on like a paddle clutch, but once you get on open road it goes back nice and smooth. Paddle clutches are really an invention for race tracks. They are designed to be light weight, launch agressively and last 2 or 3 races. Not a clutch for every day really. A couple of trips through London or Birmingham Rush hour can quite easily kill em. I think Chris has done well that his lasted this long. It was a pain in the arse in mycar.

Correct Oil Temp for TT
Your going to need either a sandwich plate, or an in line connetor to put in the feed to the cooler, or tap the sump. I think I still have my Greddy sandwich plate if your interested.

Know its been brought up before but...
Billy you have got some mates, because most of the time you make sense which is at least 15% more than me and I admire the dinosore qualities and principles because they are right. Too many brain washed people who can't manage a genuine reason or idea unless they read or seen it somewhere. When they are sat in their box with only three options left then they'll realise that freedom of choice is more than what they themselves agree with.

clutch gone
Craig the problem could be scousers. Usually when anything goes it's down to scousers.   Acually I know some very sound scousers(is that enough to get my stuff back Guy's) and they are great people. so if your clutch has gone it was proberbly sold tonight in the Robin Hood Honestly I really do know some really sound people from Liverpool and its only a joke.

Sorry the 2 tone is just my opinionand doesnt detract from it having been a very nice car, but with regard to inexperience I think it does need to be said because this year there's been more bent Zeds through presicely that than any previous year I recall since I first came on here about 5 years ago. I hate to see people get killed. Even though I know some people will think I'm a know it all gob shite for spelling it out, but then it may reach some and at least I've past on some of my experience. I do know these things because I've been that man upside down in the field with a twisted wreck of both car, motorbike and body.

Anyway good luck for the future and remeber to drop us a line now and again. I'll soon be one of the longest served members left at this rate.

For the kind of power your looking for you don't need to go to the expense of porting or plishing your heads. New valve stems and lifters are recomended. but thats it. If i were you though I would go for uprated valve springs and cam (not too agresive). That way you can up your RPM to increase the power band. Porting and polishing heads really is looking to squeeze that last remaining 10 to 20 HP at high revs when you got as much as you can from everything else, This will eventually or quickly lead to head failure depending on how good the job was done. Good induction and Mapping would be far more noticeable and much much much cheeper to obtain and less likely to end in unreliability. Coupled to the right turbo's and a good exhaust system. Far too many people on here talking about porting and al sorts of extreme tuning before the even go through the basics. 400 RWHP is more power than you can realistically use unless you drag or sprint. Road use 360 is more than most people can seriously handle. Unless your looking to be a serious contender for the TOTB then its just bragging rights. Surely a sensible reliable high performance motor is what you really want. If so thats achievable by getting a Turbo setup that can easily push the air you need to push, an induction system that can deliver the air, a fuel system that can provide enough fuel, a chipped ECU & booster or ECU replacement that can manage it without cooking your engine, Pistons rod and bearings that can handle the increase presure and an exhaust system that can get rid of it quick enough to let it breath in the first place. The standard crank was used in the Steve Hillen (Stillen) GT class Le Mans winner running 900 ish BHP.

What a crying shame. That was a very nice Z. James did a loverly job though I would have not done her two tone myself. If your breaking her i'll have the interior. This is why i think peole should do more track days and get some intruction. You be supprised how much road craft you can learn. Sorry to say it but thats just too much right boot for the road conditions. These cars need treating with much more respect than people's Ego's allow and this is a typical inexperience error. The good news is that no one was killed or injured and leasons should be learnt. Some wet weather Z driving tips Make sure that all link arm bushes are in good nick That ICAS rack and linkage has no play or is remove because these cars are very twitch in the rain and shifting wheel geometry in amplified by tauter spring and steering settings Always have Best rubber possible Replace before excessively Worn Keep it smooth Keep your auto in hold through the bends knock your speed down buy 30% if your a mainiac like me or 15% if your usually steady. Remember you may think you look cool when you blow someone into the weeds, but what kind of tosser do you look and feel when your upside down in a field.

nissan 300zx beats hammond in top gear
The little bike peed all over the Zed for the first 10mph. It looked like my car before I made my front bumper, while I had my 99spec front. I remember people asking me if it was my car and I said no because i hadn't been in the big smoke for ages, but I never it could have been filmed months earlier in which case it may have been. because it's even got the Vortex 18's like I had and the lower fogs Just looked again and its a Scarab front bumper

Know its been brought up before but...
I think its sad in many ways. It doesn't bother me because I don't smoke, but it seems OTT and extreme. Why carn't pubs be aloud to have a smoking Room with special extractors. Seems to me that every day we loose another right to the "You'll do as we say because we have rights Taliban". Don't smokers have rights too, and Pub and resteraunt owners. Why carn't you have smoking pubs and none smoking pubs. People will choose which ones they want to go into. Same as this Gay addoption laws. Gays have the right to be gay so we have no right to say I don't like gays. Fook sake the Church is saying Gayness is a fundimental no no of their religious beliefs. That the cornerstone of Christianity is that of the Farther Mother Married and blessed by god Family. That Jesus says Soddomy is a sin and against the fundimental laws of creation. Now i'm not a devil dogger, but that fits with me far more comfortably than a dick up my arse. So if gays come to a Church addoption organisation and they say sorry Shit stabbing is offensive to us and against our religion. If you wish to addopt then these organisations can help you but not us. What is wrong with that and who rights have been infringed? Apparently you can't believe being an uphill gardener is wrong, because gay rights organisation can prosecute you if you do. So the church that has stood for these beliefs for 2,000 years can no longer say that the teachings of Jesus Christ are believed to be true. This is the religion that the whole western civilisation is based on FFS. Can no longer say sorry but batty boys is not accepted here. What happens to the Church's right to its faith. Why can't we call a person from Pakisan a Paki, yet we can call a Welsh person a Taff, a Yorkshire person a Yorky, A Scotish person a Jock, a Japanese a Nip. What ever happened to freedom of speach and does having a smoking room, or club, or even a Church Addoption Agency that people are not forced to go to really infringe on the liberty's, rights or fredoms of anyone. Surely though Forcing these groups and individuals to comply to what others want has most definatley remove their rights, liberty's and fredom to conduct their life as they see fit. If I don't like someone or their habbits I don't hang out with them. I don't try and force them to conform to what I want. I'm sorry but it not the start of the slippery slope, because were already on it and it will just continue to pic up speed. It won't be long before the Gay rights lobby, supported by all the dicky back riding polititions passed a law that makes it an offence to deny OMO sexuals their legal right of charnal knowledge with you. Then you get the point for real.

hand held speed camera
Wrong They must prove that you are either the driver or are willfully with Holding evidence as to who the driver is. It could be a ringed vehical, Driven without consent any number of reasons why you cannot Identify the driver. I know this to be true and only yesterday have Mr Brunstroms Speeding Taliban accepted defeat. I have now succesfully defendened 6 cases of Highway Cash Machine robbery. 4 Mobile or hand held and 2 fixed caneras. I can tell you that the law is being broken every time you are prosecuted via any speed camera. The NIP Billynomates has posted has a bit there that declares the image rights belong to the Lancashire Police. WHY??? Has billy signed a contract giving away his legal image rights for himself or his property? I think you'll find under the European Court of Human Rights that the police cannot rely on any Photographic image of you or your property as evidence without your contractual consent unless the first have a court order to obtain such evidence as part of an ongoing crimial investigation. So never fill in the form the CPS send you or you are consenting. Send a letter outlining your positon, ie yep it looks like my car, but I was in Jamca at the time etc. and explain that you feel that the questions on the form were note applicable to the circumstances. That way you are meating all you legal obligationsb but not incriminating yourself. P.S. Never sign any correspondence
