  1. I know why their there and as soon as I knew it was totally cheesey to watch after the second episode. Do you want me to tell you WHY and WHAT it's ALL ABOUT
  2. Who did the retrim Andy thats a loverly job.
  3. All Fairlady's are imports. All NA's are imports, All SWB are imports UK cars are all TT 2+2 Targa's.
  4. Yep thats what I had the concept 600 7point imobiliser all singing and dancing. Bought it from a company called Gap Security. I know other people that have had them and been reasonably reliable, but Bob at safe and sound says that Clifford are the most popular alarm system to go wrong. He also says they're the most comon that he removes because of problems. Mine was fine for about 18 months then went up the spout. It imobilized my car and they'd come and plug the lap top in and reprogram it then a week later I'll be calling them out again and agian. Each time they took longer and longer until the last time when the car was imobilized for 3 months. I'd say stay clear of Cliffords.
  5. Stock cooler will not cope with the extra heat the turbos alone will be passing into the oil. Like Kirbz says you really need a 235mm X 25 row cooler. Mocal are a good make and look exactly the same a Setrab Coolers, but half the price. Pace also good for this kind of stuff. Sandwich plate I asume is being used as a take off point for after market oil presure and temp Gauges. If you bin that and get a remote filter take off you will be able to root the feed direct from the oilfilter housing to the filter and then to your cooler and back to the housing. Mocal and pace remote housings give you a take off point for oil presure and you can put a inline takeoff for the oil temp between the filte housing and remote housing, I'd go for Half inch feeds. You should really be running the engine in on a cheap 10-40 running in mineral oil. Ask your local supplier for a running in oil.
  6. I think they're the same. Can't see them designing a completely different pump for a different model of the same car.
  7. Its all down to who fits Clifford I had a halfwit fit mine and it was a nightmare. Look at the Clifford site I think it'd under General Electrics or something similar. It explains how the connectors have to be install etc and why. Then go and buy a Toad system and save yourself any future hassel.
  8. They're all the wrong sizes thats why they are cheep. 285/40/18 needs to be 285/35/18 or even 285/30/18, but 40 would make the rolling radius too large. Same thing for the fonts. No good for a Zed unless you got standard 16" 225/50/16 and 245/45/16.
  9. What oil squirters are you using? Have you uprated turbos got water cooling or just air/oil? What size oil cooler are you using? Are you using the original feed and return or are you using a sandwich plate? What grade oil are you using? If you have gone for the NA style oil squirter then you oil will need more then standard cooling because the oil is sprayed more onto the underside of the piston crown to help take heat away. Bigger turbos will throw more heat into oil and depending on which turbos the oil may be the main thing cooling them. The oiriginal oil presure regulator isn't the most efficent means of regulating the flow of oil to the cooler and a remote filter plate allows you to by pass the regulator and use the oil pump to circulate the oil constantly. Then a Thermo regulator will allow the oil to be pasted through the cooler as it's temp demands. This helps engine reach temp quicker which means oil reaches working temp faster and causes less stress to working parts. In correct grade oils will get hotter if they are working outside their opperating perameters. A 10 - 60 has a much wider temp rande than a 0 - 30.
  10. In your area I'd say Geoff at Zedworld is your best bet. They do the convertion about every other day. They are at Tamworth http://www.zedworld.co.uk
  11. Hi Paul my post should have said 18" :headvswal :headvswal
  12. lets hope the numbers come up this weekend.
  13. would the 356mm fit under an 182 wheel? what internal diameter is required?
  14. I wouldn't buy any seat unless I'd tryed them for size and comfort. The standard Zed seats when the sqobs are on good nick are a reasonable seat so If your replacing it you want it to be with something better. Any I've seen or tried that fit snugly (as in will stop you flying around when driving hard) and look the part tend to be top side of £400. I'd be very dubious about any seats at that price without checking them out properly.
  15. I think that is Fugly and I like NSX's
  16. If she's all re machined and every thing she'll smoke every now and then until she's run in properly anyway. then once she's run in a slightly thicker oil may solve the problem. Mr Nissan recomended 10-40 semi synthetic or 15-50 fully synthetic and i think he knew what he was on about. So I wouldn't rush it yet. the thicker oil really seem to have cracked it for me.
  17. The thing is Chris. having seen it in the flesh I can tell you it is a particularly good example and you'd be hard pressed to find another so good. I'm sorry you can't hold onto her mate. I bet your gutted to let her go. Someone is going to get a really nice SWB slick top there. It ticks all the boxes. Unfortunatey I'm not allowed anymore or my wifr would perform surgery
  18. Why you selling? This is a very nice little car.
  19. Unless it was a nice windy A road with a couple of tight bends here and there.
  20. P.S. PM Royal he's the guy that had the tuition with some ex race Driver on normal roads.
  21. I believe it cost her about £700 some 5 or 6 years ago. It included class room sessions, instructon in and Audi TT and then The started you in the Palmer Audi on limited rev's until a few of us were allowed out full chat. this was disperst with class room talks on how we were doing etc. It was vary good and based on driver skills some never got into the single seaters as they needed alot more training so spent all or most time with instructors in the TT's. Some got to do single seaters, but only up to certain remotely controled rev limits. They monitored you and if you looked Dangerous they knocked the rev's down. 5 of us got 2 extra sessions totally unrestricted and out on ciruit with the instructors in the Palmer Audi's aswell. It really was good. I think with the Hotel accomadation and going out into London every night it cost my good Lady about £1000. There are other people like the Nigel Mansel racing schools and there's a guy on here carn't remember his name with a yellow RX7 who had tuition with a guy in his own car on nornal roads. They'll tailor something to your buget. Once you get the circit bug you'll want to do it loads.
  22. Get booked in for Track day tuition. Worth every penny. I thought like most Ego driven males that I was a good driver and knew exactly what to do. The fact that i used to race motor bikes and did some competertive karting with reasonable succes for the machinery I had. My good lady bought me a 3 day course for my Palmer Audi Race licence + the basic Race licence. after 1 lap the instructor told me I was a bike rider and my positioning and braking was all wrong for a car. It changed my driving and after only 5 laps of instruction my lap times plumited. Make sure your suspension and setup is sorted first though.
  23. Yes I was thinking this could just end up pumping oil stait into the plenum, but wastn't sure if the sump was presurised. I'll have to do some research. In the mean time however my smoking problem has been fixed by changing from Mobil 1 0-40 synthetic to Millers Trackday 10-50 fully synthetic. Obviously the Mobil 1 was just that thin it p1ssed into the system everytime I nailed it or slung it into right handers. Discovered driving like a granny stopped the smoke and though maybe a thicker oil would do the trick and it has.
  24. I've seen some Jspec cars with blue tweed and "Vellor" (don't know how you spell it) interiors on 95 plates and they have a different aircon pod. So could be series 4 if its an import.
