  3. But what are your oil temps in relation to the water temps
  4. Is this for your next meeting with the guys at the body shop lol
  5. Sorry I was getting the oil regulator temps and thermostate temps mixed up as my Brain was thinking that the oil cooler feeds etc are your problem and still do. The Nismo Thermstat opens at 62 C and atandard as you rightly say opens at 79 C http://www.courtesyparts.com/betasite/nismo-thermostat-degrees-for-1984-1996-300zx-p-228725.html?cPath=882_1061_5900&
  6. Well live is a loose term for what goes on up here buddy lol.
  7. I have lived in North Wales fof the last 16 years and during my 300zx years I've just affiliated myself to the Northwest boys and accationally to the Midlands guys as fook all ever happens up here so yep I'm up for it
  8. A really good body shops work will be superior to a fatory finish. As I keep Pushing them Wrexham Autokraft is run buy my mate Lee who is a time served pannel better and paint spayer. I was once at his place (when having my blue car Painted originally) and a lady came in with a brand spanking new SLK 600 The first ones with the McClaren nose and the folding hard top. The drivers Door was compress to about 3/4 the length it should be and was held shut with bungee straps. She'd been reversing down the side of the house with the door partly open to see how close she was lol. She asked how long to get it fixed. He rang Merc and they said because the car was a brand new model it would be 10 weeks befor they could get the part. She told him she knew that as dhe'd already enquired. But she had to have it done before her husband got back from a business trip. She said if he could fix it in a week she's pay him what ever he quoted + a thousand pounds as a cash gift. He beat and reshapped the metal and skimmed the repairs and repainted it in 2 days. You couldn't tell it had ever been damaged othe than He couldn't saurse new glass. If the paint work is not good he will warn you that his work will show the rest of the car up and it does. If it is not right, such as pimples etc, it will be restrippd and redone before it leaves his shop. He has repared my now Ex;s cars countles times and it has always been undetectable even with pearls. There are too many crap body shops out there charging top prices and giving out poor work.
  9. I have a set of Work Magnisium light weight 3piece rims for sale http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=116212
  10. Are you running a oil cooler? I had similar problem with my car when first had the engine build and when through a mirriad of changes to try and resolve it. First being Scrapping my aircon Rad and system. Then going for a McCulack Racing Rad from SPL. It makes the Koyo rad look peuny. Then I went from a 15 row oil cooler to a 24 row cooler. Only when I blanked of the standard 10 oil feeds and got a remote filter plate and take off plate and piped it to the cooler in 22mm pipe did it solve the problem. Which was being caused by the heat generated by the bigger turbos and the higher compresion. Once done the car was running too cool so the introdution of a Thermostatic valve return on the cooler feed finaly solve the problems. I then returned to a 15 row cooler and re introduce my aircon Rad. Oil temp only ever got to 110c after a severe thrashing from Tenby in South wales upto Chester Via a redlinine drive though the welsh A roads. The other thing you should check is is your timing set properly. Even phil a C & S Wood got mine wrong because he was unawhere that his gun was faulty Ps the other thing I've seen on two of my Zeds now is numties who are supposed to be knoledgable mechanics putting the thermostate in upsidedown which doesn allow the small amount of flow through required to get the hot water from the engine to the thernostate bulb quick enough to open when it should +if its a genuine Nismo Thernostate it will open fully at 79c not 84 as with the OEM and your oil temp should normally be about 10 c hotter.
  11. Vini I think you should get 10 out of 10 for having the cahonas to do it all on your tod. I looks very nice and once its had the polisher over it it will look awesome. Top man
  12. Letter to MD of insurance company and threaten to take your story to the local nes papers. They hate bad press. It works every time I promise. Just do a search on the web or buy a copy of who's who
  13. Interesting colour. Been on this site from early days and a member for the past 5 years and can say I've never seen this car or at least this car in this colour before. Sorry no help at all. What year is it? What has it had done to it? Has it got any service history/receipts etc?
  14. fingers crossed and lets hope its as you want it
  15. Well he did tell me that he wasn't keen on Stew, though I suposee he could have been saying Stu :rofl:. Ya soppy git you should know better than anyone how demanding a new Baby/Todler is on your time. You are correct and like its been said each car is different so to get the best out of your mods a proper rolling road map is the best way to go and JD is the best person to do that for you. However the Chips supplied by all the above are burnt with a fair amount of safety tollerence in them and the car would run well enough and safe enough until JD could sort you out.
  16. Thats a proper job Dan and much respect to you for it. Look lovely buddy.
Bonne chance Hope my Rubbish French is understanderble
  18. Just a Respray and not a colour change I'd say £2500 to £3000 for a quality job. Unless you know someone.
  19. OH my god Pete Your car is all one colour. What will happen to your Lego sponsorship deal lol
