HID make the lights about 20 Thousnd times brighter. You can actually see where your going. Don't waste your money on all the bulb upgrades and spots etc. Beleive me the money I've spent on bulbs alone would have got me the HID kit and there is just no comparison. Best £160.00 I've ever spent on my Z

Compression Test.
Hi Johnny I only know these things because like you I've gone that extra bit to help the customer and have been burned for my trouble. Also I got dooped very baddly and the only way to recover my losses was to study contract law for three and a half years and win my case. Which led me to my present employment. i'm not a lawyer.

Tyre Suppliers
I think that was a long time ago. I remember the old Michelin's used to last for ever, but were grade one ditch finders. The write ups I've been reading put the pilots in the top 4 in dry weather grip and 1st for wet weather. The German reports I've read and the reports I've read on the web all pritty much say the same. They also put Goodyear, bridgstone SO2's (my usual choice) and the New Yokohoma's very high. Local dealer say's he can get Goodyears for about the same price.

Make sure you have a disclaimer or your argument if it got sticky would amount to "ingnorance of the fact" which is a legal term when someone claims "he told me so" even if its in writing. You are a profesional to whom your customer has confidence that you do as you perport. Remember favors that back fire will land in your lap as you are the expert. So tread carefully and you shouldhave disclaimers for these things

Compression Test.
Once they have exchanged the unsuitable engine and Turbo's for an engine and turbo's that is satisfactory to requirements, you will in the eyes of the law no longer be suffering a lost. If then they make an offer to cover any of the labour costs that would only be as a jesture of good will. So I'm sorry to say but, I doubt you will be able to recover the Labour cost. Further more I'm sorry to say this but, your customer would have a right to expect you as a competant professional to have carried out sufficient checks "i.e. a compression test" prior to installation. Also, if you have purchased the engine on behalf of your customer I'm affraid this again make you liable. As you are for the state and condition of all goods and servises you provide. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news mate better to know. Good Luck

Got my new car!!
Labour alone makes the Z more expensive I've been quoted as much as £1000 just to remove and replace my engine before any work is done. Yet the supre would cost around £500 and the standard Uk spec tubs will take far more than the standard Z tubs though the crank on the supra isn't as good, but the top end is much better on the Supra including the manifolds. Put it this way. If you were going to do the work yourself. which wood you prefer to work on. Take a look at both engine bays. I know which you'll be charged the most for. If your just looking to up your motor to around 400 to 430bhp at the crank then the Z would be cheeper to tune. For serious ponies the supra is cheeper to tune.
