  1. WHAT ME :slap:  Hey I never said they were as good racing Auto's just that they're auto   Back on subject though I never thought I'd enjoy an auto having had manwells but I really love the thing now. My other drive is a Rica chipped T5 R 5 speed manwell 331BHP. Its no where near as much fun to drive as the Z which realistically is not much more powerfull running 1.2bar. So I'd say since no one took the bate, Buy what your comfortable with. By the way have you thought of adding a T5 to your list. You can pick one up from £2.500 for a 260 bhp front wheel drive to £4500 for a four wheel drive R. then add a Rica chip £450 =315 BHP + Induction kit = £331 BHP
  2. No body's talking about F*****g marrying her just getting to grips with her finer handling qualities. I bet she's not got traction control either:D
  3. Personel taste but I don't like the skirts on Martin's car. For me they change the line rather than enhance it so when you look at the car from the front 3/4 it doesn't balance. Still go for the Yank as the smartest by a long way.

Don't be soft too far. If thats too far you'd be no good after half hour on a race track You be knackered beyound resurrection. I don't know these southern softy's   :slap:
  6. Are you male? alive? with all functioning parts? Then don't ask f**king daft questions :D
  7. I know which one I'd like to ride in  Lovely pair of Turbos on the Yank
  8. Very Difficult because I'll have to escape from wife and kids first
  9. 1A) I think you'll find the ones that are winning are 2A) An automatic changes gear by the use of an electric motor and servo switch just the same as a sequential box. All race car boxes where crash boxes. i.e. No clutch and a Torque converter is merely an electronicaly operated hydrolic clutch, But a crash box can only engage gears when engine rev's and gear speed coincide and this is what is computor (instead of a clutch or torque converter ) managed on a sequential box so that the gear sellection is made faster. Without the computor you cannot change gear. You push the button and it AUTOMATICALLY sellects for you. Torque converters are not as fast at changing gear as the computor, but still quicker than anyone with a normal manual. 3A) How can it be "manual operated by a computor" . If that the case then an auto is manual operated by a torque converter. + Most of the F1 teams (I think its all actually) the cars change down automatically controlled by a computor every time the brake peddle is applied. The driver only changes up gears and has the option to hold it in a gear (just like my auto :D ) "It was not an Automatic transmission. There is no torque converter in it.[/quote" There's no torque converter on the lift doors in my office, but their automatic and the lift itself has an automatic gear box controled by computor. Do you know how the computor in a race car or a lift can operate the gear changes. Well it messures the torque of the stressed componants then converts that callculation into a command. :nelson: :xxx: :xxx: :mac1:
  10. This is the problem with people who carn't drive :xxx: an auto :nelson:. Those of us who can drive actually use that thing called a gear sellector to change gear. :o :o :(

  12. Nice one I just read this and I cannot over state what this guy said in the last line of 4th generation cars. "Ease into the power until your used to it then you can hang your arse out like Steve McQueen in bullit". Too true. The very first 300ZX I had I spun down the A41 the second day I had it at 50+ just by nailing it coming out of a bend. 2 and 1/2 revolutions and lucky for me no body else on the road. Only harm done, was to my underpants :xxx:
  13. Why? Having had both I suggest that you try both before you make your mind up. Personnelly I think auto is much better. Then ask your self this question. Why are all to racing cars auto's or semi auto and none manual? +Why are all top Drag cars auto? Is it because manuals are faster and better do you think? :slap:   Don't take my word for it check it out :D Did someone say gearbox wars
  14. They better be or it looks like Wigg's on the Green at 20 paces :D :D
  15. The Original Skyline was a Z. Now I've got round lights on the back of my Z does that qualify me to badge it skyline? Some people get very techy on here :slap:

  18. I think you should post a list of who's coming and who's bringing their Z. On a name and shame basis if they don't turn up. I should get there earlier to watch the entertainment. I've never been to a Lancashire pie eating contest before.
  19. I had a sucked smarty Red Chevette Estate when I played in bands to carry my stuff around  , But the worst would have to be a hand painted green Ford Anglia. Which I then shoe horned a Lotus cortina 1500 engine into and jacked up rear suspension  . Then me and a few of my Art school hoppose custom painted it. Black and glittery With Flames down the side. I tell you I thought it was the bees knees. :mac1: (What on Earth were we smoking, it certainly made the world seem a cooler place   )
