David I can assure you if you get an Elise you'll regret it. I've have to say unless you are 4 feet tall your going to find getting in and out of the thing painfull. A fifteen mile journey will inflicted enough discomfort to make it feel like a 45 mile journey. The Elise is a big GoKart. I've been fortunate to have done quite a few (well 3) Track days with an Elise and can tell you they are fun on the circuit, but the journey there and back was aweful. At full chat they are a real scream even in the rain,but they have no storage for even a packet of fags never mind a coat. The hood is a pain to get out and put back in. The boot will accomodate a hand bag and a small flask and some butty's (I really like to live the high life) but anything else forget it. If someone says we'll have an Elise at the curcuit, do you want to come down and thrape and pillage it. I'd be there like a shot and have real good fun. If they said you can thrape and pillage it, but you have to get it there first. Well I rather go and paint the Decking. If your serious about going in that direction the Vauxhall VX is a far more user friendly car, but still as practical tits on ears. (I know they'd keep ya ears warm and you would her all the other blokes laughing and shouting, "a cut and blow please".)
