Yep its been a mixed year so far. 1] getting my Z back from the body shop after 6 months of rangling with my insurance company. 2] Blowing the Z up within 2 weeks of getting her back then spending £15k on a new engine with go faster bits (well it better be if I ever get the ba5terd run in) 3] Having 3 great kids that keep suprizing me both good and bad. 3a] Meeting you lot and making some good friends. Splitting up with my Mrs next summer as soon as the Lads finished his exams. So there's a real fun time to look forward to. (bend over and prepare to be Rogered)

Hi Alex I'm glad that you are OK. Remember we get carried away with these cars, but thats it. They are just cars and you can only enjoy em if your OK to do so. With regard to all your modes and wrighting your car off. Well you can tell them you want it repaired or what ever you want to do, because it is your car not theirs until you agree to a settlement. If you want all your bits off it you go and get them (if they are all declared and you agree a settlement to wright off the car, an amount would be removed from the figure , but I assure you it would be peanuts. In other words you'd get about the same) + as will most likely be the case. If you get to your car and anything is missing, tell the garage where it is that you want it back or you'll get the Police involved. UNTIL YOU ACCEPT AN AGREED FIGURE IN WRITTING THE CAR AND ALL BITS ON IT ARE YOURS. FACT!! So make sure you let the insurance company know that you know that + the garage where it has gone. A friend of mine had his car recovered and before he agreed a figure the insurance company dispossed of it. He went to a good solicitor and they ended up paying nearly 3 times its value. Another friend had his car recovered after so guy bashed him of the road. He went down to the garage next day to find out that they'd removed his dp Turbo charger kit, Apexi induction kit, Exhaust, Boost controler and Exhaust. (Saxo) £5K's worth. I told him to see same guy Pet saw. They had to replace every thing from New + all labour and fitting charges to his new Saxo. If you don't know ya rights you'll get Rogered.

Your right that most of us feel similar, but when it comes to standing up to be counted its usually just me, and my so call fellow compardry's are pretending they haven't known me for the last 20yrs. I've got a good recipe for Bombay Potato, Monkfish Curry and any others I cheat and use Pataks paste. Also I do a mean Dahl Soup, but its not hot. It is very moreish though. The down side is you'll stink of Garlic and when you fart (because you will) you'd kill a bull elephant at 50ft. I'll P.M them to you if you like.

Anyone who knows truckers knows they can whinge for Britain and feel the only way to resolve any issue is to threaten to rip some bodies head off. Usually mine when they've been caught out not following proceedure. I.E. not earthing equipment to provent flash points when loading or discharging their Gas Tankers. You'd be suprised the size of some sites concequence areas. I'm talking 100's of thousands of people living within them and knowing sod all. The rest of the guys our engineers, work on Land and Marine LPG instalations and pipe line pumping sites. The Drivers on Petro Chemical instalations for High street companies. I'm supposed to be responsible :smash:

Hey maybe thats why you've a similarly cynical attitude. Part of my job is actually going out to customers sites and doing risk assessments for our instalation and decomissioning crews. + general Health & Safety, Employment legislation and disaplinary reviews and tribunals. It used to really pi55 me off, but I don't let it bother me anymore and You have take a step back look globally. When you do you realise that most of us are OK.
