  4. i got one from the states ebay, even came with a lighter fly wheel for the same cost,all good so far.
  5. me too on trip to south of france,tis possible if car in good order!
  6. Watch your booster too,replaced all my clutch line and cylinders, ended up pushing it over the edge,hissing like a cobra it was! i now have a very strong left foot.

  9. so its nissans rubber hoses that cause the rot, not the fookin weather:headvswal just had my drivers sill done,wasn`t the pipes,they`re still fine,was caused by some seam sealant missing just under the door where the sills join, just happens to have a door drain right above,so over the years been seeping in & sitting

  16. The uk shocks are quite expensive £90+ each i think,if you can find em! I replaced mine with the jap ones 1/3rd of the cost and same as the firm setting on the uk`s. would also check bushes etc if feeling wobbly,one of my shocks was fubar but never did all that.

  18. or an AAA battery (for a quick fix) in some silicon hose with a tie thingy,worked for me,couldn`t find a bolt for love nor money
  19. Personally, instead of rebuild, i`d get a good 2nd hand engine, swap yer tubs over & get a new loom etc.My addled little brain seems to think you`re near brentwood for some reason. If so, you have a very good guy near you,can p.m the no. if you wish! Oh! n change the belt & do a 120k service if you chose to go down that road
  20. I did a 2000 mile trip in mine this year and the car got progressively better,by the time we got back it was doing 34+mpg and purring along.
