well i renewed today my classic policy is with houghtons and was 560 quid for 5000 miles, but my car is up for sale so didnt wanna insure for a year. They said they couldnt do me 6 months but cut my mileage allowance from 5000 down to 1500 and my premium fell to £260. I can live with that cos it means i can tax the car, use it untill it sells and take buyers out for tesr drives.

Well to be honest the whole TVR, Ferrari etc thing bores me to death, I have no interest in those cars. I remember loads of blokes at work that used read the stats in the back of top gear magazine and go on about what these cars can do blah blah blah even though the fastest thing they had ever owned was a 2 litre primera. The problem is with your porker or tvr is it is just as fast as all the other porkers and tvrs out there. Now taking an old datsun or any car really and producing something that wastes those expensive status symbols is a real achievement and much more fun in my book. Its always a hoot at the strip when people come in there new supercars and just cant understand why they cant get anywhere near the young boy in a cosworth powered Mk2 escort or anywhere near the figures quoted in the back of top gear lol Very good result that mac, moments like that make it all worthwhile eh.
