  1. If u type potentiometer in eBay lots come up cheap and can get the knobs too. Really cheap,
  2. Was at me mum's again and thought I'd try take a pic for u guys who ain't noticed this writing. I'm so sad ain't I lol.
  3. I was thinking what about one of these maybe from an old car stereo amplifier, hide it up somewhere behind a panel etc. Or would it not work.
  4. Don't know if it helps and may sound silly, but when I done my Speedo dials in blue leds I had bright spots, on the dials instead of spreading the light out, So I soldered my bulbs in facing the other way, and it reflects off the back into the dials, So it looks more even, I put a lot more leds in and it's still quite bright, but more like vw golf etc. Maybe if u can get to bulbs turn them round and try. My leds were silly voltage think somewhere round a couple of volts, and needed resistor to run 12v, So can't help if they can be lowered to make them dimmer, But saying that mine dim with the stock dimmer switch, maybe u could get a separate dimmer switch and hide it out the way to just dim the ones u want...
  5. Happy Christmas everyone, :santa: Hope everyone has a great time and lots of these :pint: plus some whiskey.
  6. Sure the non gtr calipers look like our standard calipers, gtr have brembo on them
  7. Got home at 2 and put me diff and suspension back in place, Has said it don't look pretty but it's tidying it up and protecting it..forgot to paint the bolts so the look rusty gonna take them back out wire brush them and paint them. Cheers Gary that's what I'm hoping to have it for years to come, the only time I'll get rid of my zed is when I can't have it no more cause I can't fix it and it's going to the big scrap yard in the sky. - - - Updated - - -
  8. I used that cavity wax gun to put some primer/paint inside the box section I had welded incase it had burnt the paint away I filled an empty stonechip can with it pulled the trigger and the lot was in the box section in one blast lol, it sprayed out the other end of the box section like a missile too covered the drive in white paint. Trying to get that cavity wax everywhere, but mainly doing the box section, seals and the rear arch bits I'm doing from inside the boot.
  9. It's starting to look better now, it's we'll stripped, but it's now at the point I can start putting it back together,
  10. The pics make it look crap my phone flash reflects off it, But when u look at it in real life it's just black and clean. Glad I did it, laying on my back underneath spraying is a fun and dirty job lol. Got the other dinitrol cavity wax too. Should keep her clean for a few more years, it had better anyhow.
  11. I dinitrol stonechipped the tunnel for gearbox and carried it on into the engine bay too but lower down where u don't see cause the finish will be a bit bumpy will over paint it white and should protect it more. So have stonechip where battery tray goes and the opposite side and the front of fire wall. And along the box section either side of the engine. And this is why I'm having to do it all again the mess a master cylinder makes if it leaks lol And that looked like this couple years ago I'm hoping to have all the diff and suspension back on tonight, if I do I'll post some pics of it back together. Cheers for looking guys.
  12. Hi guys done some more bits to the zed, Painted: suspension arms Diff And finished off underneath Underneath is dinitrol stonechip so not ment to be a nice finish, just black and bumpy lol, But should protect it, I hope. Even the diff is painted in dinitrol stonechip unsure what it will be like I'm hoping it's ok and shouldn't chip off. Not going for show finish just want it clean and protected. Lots of pics lol...
  13. I have n.a. rear so removed hicas, have new oem shocks, and car handles great and is comftable. But changing to meister r coilovers once car is back on the rd.. I find my zed ain't that great around tight little corners, even more so if the roads wet, But through higher speed country lanes and motorway it's great. Last time i drove the car i took my aftermarket wheels off with wide tyres and were dunlop and went back to a standard set of rims with new tyres but crap budget tyres and the handling is crap, again not to bad at higher speed but around tight bends it's slippery. It's a wide and low car that looks more suited to higher speed corners anyhow,
  14. Yeah mines got blinds too. Go outside with a torch shine it on the top of Targa it's roughly middle of glass it will shine out at u. Maybe it's like a magic pen only shows up under a torch light lol.
  15. The ones in the paint have come off, but the ones in the screen have burnt right in. It's only the front screen with the dots, I'll get one on my insurance a big brick hit the window in a couple of weeks time lol. Sides have some scratches if u look close, but don't know if it's worth the bother trying to change them cause the scratches can't be seen unless really looking. To top it off I had to weld in the wheel arch and was dark used my new Samsung s3 phone has a torch big mistake it has bits of metal too splattered into the screen. Anything to fix my big stupid zed...
  16. Was really dark and couldn't see if it was the dots in glass making pics or if someone has stuck stickers in the inside, Cars at me mums and didn't have the keys to check lol. So come home checked my other car and didn't have it. So thought wonder if writing was oem. Seems if others have it then it is. Just makes u laugh have had few zeds over the years, and find new things.
  17. I'll Ask when it goes in the shop. mine ain't bad, but breaker ones are bloody perfect. If it's a mission I'll tint them and forget I ever thought of it lol. Thanks again for your reply.
  18. A Jap auto tt, u need anything. Your welcome to nick bits if I don't need them. I need engine and interior bits mainly, Have lots of spares too lol. A garage full.
  19. Crazy japs, had a few zeds never noticed it before, Was looking at car with torch and it stuck out. Cheers for replys, So it's more likely used for Nissan themselves to tell apart 2str 4str.
  20. No-one got them lol. It's not tiny writing, quite big..shined a torch over car and noticed it it's kinda like an hologram. Looks like 4l for left Targa and 4r for right.
  21. That's what I thought what would I cut them out with, Would a window company be able to do it when I have it sprayed. My new front window is now in a bad way. All that grinding I did and forgot to cover it. Little rusty dots everywhere  Cheers for reply
  22. Lol most stupid thing ever. Just went out to my breaker and in the middle of Targa glass one has 4l and the other 4r, Just checked my zed it don't have it. It looks like Its done with the little black dots... Is this oem.
  23. Hi guys, As above I have 2zeds ones for parts, The breaker zed has perfect rear quarter windows. Mine are scratched up a little, how difficult are they to change. They look hard would it be worth the hassle. Any help appreciated.
  24. The worse thing I did was drive my car in the snow, was fun but the salt is the worse. 2winters on salty roads could see the difference underneath, that's why Im doing underneath now and never driving in winter again. If u just parked it up for couple months even without a cover can't see it hurting the car, I'd say driving it on the salty roads would be a lot worse. Cover looks good, just don't let it blow about and keep a check it's dry.
