ive already asked this (a couple of years ago i think!) but is my battery positive or negative earth?

...a workmate of mine has decided he wants to save up for the kit and then built it himself. he reckons it costs £15k for the shell and (he thinks) all the other bits (!), then add the engine of your choice (which apparently is a small block Chevy engine at about £3k). he reckons 75% of the people who build their own Ultima have never built a car before and have done so successfully. i mean no disrespect to him but he is no mechanic or engineer. the fastest car he's owned is an FTO. im sure its just a pipe-dream for him (at 26 y/o) but he is very very argumentative! :headvswal

please be careful as not knowing what youre doing could blow the engine! ...and please be careful when setting it up on the road - we all heard what happened last month with the Skyline :( not that im trying to scare you off of course :D

the simplest suggestion would be could it be due to the weather we've been having recently - you're bound to get some white smoke in the first few minutes of driving after rain/condensation gets inside and burns off. if youre saying that you get plumes of it all the time then perhaps its not that simple

fecks sake what's wrong with it!? the only feedback you can now leave as a buyer is: 'how accurate was the item description' - for my purposes as someone who mainly buys/sells video games, dvds and the like, this is fairly useless as it's either in good nick or its broken 'how satisfied were you with the communications' - most people dont bother to communicate and as long as they send the item out in good time then this is a moot point 'how reasonable were the P&P charges?' - seeing as youre not allowed to charge any P&P and it has to be free, what's the frigging point of this one?? the only one i used to find useful was when you could mark out of 5 how quickly the item arrived - if something took a while to arrive then i could still leave positive feedback but give them, say, 3 stars out of 5 for speed of posting (postal strikes permitting) - and now this one's gone! it just seems that ebay is deliberately going down the road of being crap, i wonder what sort of users theyre trying to get rid of...

i got the dampeners 2nd-hand from a club member but id been informed theyd only done 1000 miles or so. im sure Smithy's Place/DTA sell them. the company (who i cant rate highly enough) is CenterGravity off the A5 here in the Midlands.

im running Eibachs over KYB AGX dampeners on medium stiffness and am very happy with them - fast-road setup too. ive had my suspension set up and tuned professionally to get the most out of it,.
