i experimented with 20mm spacers and found that my hub bolts stuck through by about 4mm. in the end i didnt need the spacers

i think 20mph outside schools is very sensible, but 20mph in all residential areas is overkill and in my opinion a lazy way of trying to reduce road accidents. it said in the item that Britain has the joint safest roads in the world, so why keep on clamping down and clamping down - accidents are a sad part of life and will always happen, but strangling the road network isn't the solution - like Anthony says, better education and personal responsibility will work far better.
