  1. The same hose went on mine a few months ago. As an emergency repair i used a length of washer jet pipe from Halfords. i know its not the same thickness as vacuum hose but the diameter was right. anyways cos it was such a short length of pipe it seems to work fine.boost gauge reads ok(as well as a stock boost can), no air leaks etc, so 'forgot' about it till now!!! HTH nick
  2. anyway james, not your fault, you were right cos they did a top job on door, as u said they would.just a shame that they tried it on with the other stuff. nick
  3. Sorry James300 i know that you recommended them but here's my story. My Z went in with door damage.Their estimate was for a new door and labour etc. all approved by insurers. They said they'd need the car for about a week, no probs so i gave them about a months notice before taking it in, plenty of time to order parts etc.?? They actually took FOUR weeks to complete work saying that they had two damaged doors delivered and blamed probs with staffing. But i was happy in the end cos door looked great. After getting Z home noticed that remote alarm had been rewired wrong and was arming when unlocking. no probs i thought, just take trim off and swop wires,so i did..and found the Bast**ds had used a second hand door!!! Also found crazing in paint on front and rear bumpers(from low bake oven?). Needless to say i was less than happy now and i told them so when i phoned :x: (think i invented some swear words) They admitted all, couldn't really deny it i suppose and r taking car back to replace door, respray bumpers etc.i'm reluctant to go back but cant think of any other options. so u can make your own minds up but i certainly will never use them again. Nick

  10. ok peeps, after some Ar*e hit my car outside my house and drove off causing damage to drivers door.have been told by insurers to either use their recommended repairers,KFD Kingston, or find one of my own. can anyone recommend top notch body shop in surrey or s.e. area. or has anyone used KFD before. cheers nick

  22. john in the metal pipe that connects to radiator top hose (directly in front of engine block) there are two switches. the one on the offside, mine's coloured yellow, i believe it's called the coolant temperature sensor switch. whatever the correct name i pulled the connector, saw it was corroded and cleaned it with emery board. also gave a good spray of wd40. never had a problem since. real relief at the time cos i thought it was the ptu! HTH nick
  23. nickc & karen to list please :D
  24. may be worth checking temperature sensor switch contact. mine was slightly corroded so engine kept flooding when warm, thinking car was still cold. after a quick clean has been fine. may not be the answer but def worth a look. HTH nick
  25. i've got the same problem. it would b nice to get some pics up while she's still looking good :) nick
