  1. Hi, I'd like to buy the pair of tension rod bushes you have for sale in the items for sale section if you still have them - but it won't let me reply to your thread? Cheers, James
  2. Cheers for the reply Chris, I have done some reasearch on the forum and it seems undecided as to whether poly bushes stress other components - and I thought I'd read you couldn't get standard bushes seperately only as part of the arm? I'll give Mike a ring tomorrow and see what he recommends and what the price difference is. Cheers, James
  3. That's my wheel! Lol. There is some vibration about 40mph but I thought it was the prop support bearing on its way out. I do love the wheels and was hoping to get them refurbed but will have to find a way of getting this repair checked out first. On another note - Jeff informed me that my tension rod bushes need renewing - whats the recommended replacement? Poly bushes? Cheers, James
  4. Car cruising is now banned at festival park :cursing:
  5. Can't believe there's 2 more in the area! Never seen another zed let alone locally! Lol.
  6. Agreed - to be honest a most wireless printers I've dealt with are more trouble then they're worth - but it can come in handy when they're working properly lol.
  7. There may be a way depending on the printer software/router but possibly the best way to do it is to keep the printer in your daughter's room and only turn it on when she wants to use it. Good luck with it! James
  8. You're right there mate - it does have to be connected to the router - and it will allow other students to print on the printer. The reason they do it that way is you can't connect to multiple wireless networks at the same time with one wifi card and people want to access their router for internet and their printer at the same time meaning the printer has to be connceted to the router. HTH James
  9. Gutted I missed this! I live in Stoke as well! Lol.
  10. I agree with Car.Mad - looks normal to me! If you think that's bad you want to see my clio daily drive - during this cold weather that can almost disappear in its own condensation especially when started and left to idle while I de-ice the windows.
  11. Says the video is private??
  12. I just wrapped some insulation tape round the bottom of the stick thread to make it more difficult to turn the knob off centre - works fine for me. Cheers, James
  13. Sounds like the potential problem if there's a connector then. Haven't dropped the headlining as yet as all the work I've been doing at the moment has been in the dark and as you can imagine it's quite tricky. I'll drop the headlining tomorrow as I'm off work. Cheers, Vern
  14. Anyone? I've tried a new bulb in the main interior light and it's not worked so I've tested some more and found that it's the live feed there's an issue with. The wiring diagram shows that one of the lives at the relay should be linked to the interior lights and it isn't. There's 12v at the wire at the relay but 0 at the lights and no continuity between the wire at the relay and both the lights - and also no continuity between the lights. Does anyone know where the join is? Cheers, Vern
  15. Ok no worries mate. Hopefully Andy will be able to help or someone in the know will reply to the thread I've made. As far as I can tell all the fuses are OK and I'm led to believe that if the fuse was knackered the radio and clock wouldn't work either and they're fine. Checked the bulbs by putting a different live onto the plug and they work - confusing I know. Cheers anyway, Vern
  16. Any chance that either Gary if you still have the trim off on the inside or Andy when you take yours off you could post up where the wire from the map reading lights goes? I've got no power to my lights at the moment and I'm trying to find where the power comes from :) Cheers, Vern
  17. None of my interior lights are working at the moment so tonight after work I decided to investigate (in the dark - stupid I know). The main interior light looks like it will be solved with a simple bulb change as when I took the bulb out the cap fell off the end of it so it's well knackered anyway. I can't quite understand the map reading lights though. Using my multimeter I find no feed to the red/black wire which I imagine should be the live feed. Where does this feed come from? I've tried looking behind the panel behind the passenger seat with the light control relay but the only wire thats the same colour behind there goes to the relay which already seems to have a positive feed (relay disconnected) - is this right?. I know that this is definately the problem as when I connect this live feed to the map light plug the lights work perfectly. Any ideas? Also I found a set of diodes attached to the wires for the light control relay - just out of curiosity what are these for? Thanks, Vern
  18. Hi meht, I spoke to you on the phone earlier today about this item and I've won it tonight - will get in touch tomorrow. Cheers, James
  19. I'd assume mine is one of the earliest? - chassis no. 502030 - 1989 jap import
  20. Thanks for the replies. Sorry I think I've missed a crucial bit out of my post. The MOT certificate states that the car failed for the following reasons: *Nearside (TRACK ROD) Rear wheel steering ball joint has excessive play *Offside (TRACK ROD) Rear wheel steering ball joint has excessive play *Offside Windscreen wiper does not clear the windscreen effectively *Parking brake lever has no reserve travel *Service brake efficiency below requirements **DANGEROUS** I did ask what he meant by the rear wheel steering connection and he said something about the part that comes out of the steering unit itself has play in it and he doesn't know of a way to repair it and he didn't say how much it would cost but he said "the rest is easy but that might sting you". Any thoughts? Cheers, James
  21. Hi everyone. Taken my zed for MOT today and it has failed on 'Nearside Rear wheel steering connection has excessive play'. Can anyone translate to me what this means? I.e. what needs replacing and how much is it going to cost me? :wack: P.S JeffTT if you read this - been phoning Zedworld to try and get a quote on how much you could do this for all day but had no answer - if you read this contact me via this thread. Cheers, James
  22. Which two scrappys in Stafford are those? I could do with some parts :D Cheers, James
  23. Bump:( Or has anyone got a cheap series1 PTU for me to buy and test on my car? Cheers, James
  24. Anyone in or around Stoke that I can either bring a couple of PTUs to be tested on another car or that will volunteer a PTU to try on my car? Thanks in advance, James
  25. Could really do with the info about the drop link bushes if anyone knows? Cheers, James
