  1. Could someone please tell me what front bumper or lip has been added to this and DON'T say a standard tt bumper as its not, very close but not, and where i might happen upon one. Many thanks, J.
  2. you forgot one thing there zx-eyes... experience. Doing something the size of a car with all the intricate bits takes real skill. youll manage a reasonable job but you wont get that shine that you get (you know the one) when it is done by a good pro! still hat off to you as it a big financial investment and patience chanange. Tried it on a bike once with a proper seald off unit and mid range compressor/spraygun and made a bit of a mess, i left it too long between coats! Best of luck to ya fella, hope i havn't scared you too much.
  3. thanks peeps. Will have to give it all some more thought. any more info would be brilliant if you could let me know zx-eyes that would be great. thanks all again, J.

  7. Thanks all. im deffo in the market for new shocks and springs as i managed to blow one of the rear shocks, and as you say Legrath they are 'owwwld'! realisticaly what other parts could do with being replaced (traction arms, upperlink, tension rods, traverse link, bushes and brackets. etc.) i mean are ajustable links necessary if im not running coil overs?
  8. Just trying to eliminate body roll and dive under braking can people please suggest good products and setups. 1994, uk, 2+2, tt. thanks all, j.

  17. Yeah. Thats right. I feel your pain fella. sooooo annoying when it is doing this and you can;t seem to make an impression on it! here is a link to my thread (i did all the other things first before this... expencive) also i cleaned the throttle boddies out, you might as well for all the time it takes. http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=113058&highlight=bloody good luck! i hope things have quietened down for you BIGSSS nice one, J.
  18. righto, just thought that mabe it is kicking in then off then on, resulting in forced down changes to 3rd in 4th and then when it reconnects jumping back up to 4th as you are just crusing. just a thought. good luck with your investigations! j
  19. Not sure of the reason behind it, i was just told to do so by zedworld who, to be fair, know what they are doing. As for the washer, i agree it is good practice and not 100% essential, but good practice none the less as sometimes, if you are unlucky, it will not do its job. (i guess if you do intend to re-use just keep an eye on it for a while after) and finaly the oil filter. Again good practice to put oil into it if you can. i have always done so in all my cars and lawn mowers. but then i suppose you get folk who flush out their systems entirly with a special liquid/compresser and i have never done that. i guess it just comes down to how thourougher you are!
  20. couldn't be something to do with the overdrive could it?
  21. Make sure the oil is hot (careful!) otherwise it will not drain properly! also ALWAYS use a new sump washer as it is a crushable item and is only good for one use. I had one supplied to me with my oil filter. if you dont, it is a standard part and easily obtainable (i have seen packs of them in halfords) i am told it is best to put about 2/3rds of the oil in, let the engine run for a couple of mins, to let it drain to the sump then top up with the rest. tighten the new oil filter hand (grease/oil free) tight only. and also remove the dip stick at stage "2" of SMW1's walk through. - not essential but helps flow of oil. if anything else springs to mind i will let you know. good luck. J.
  22. and presumably trucks as them have 'em on all the time
  23. Thanks all kindly. i would seem the euro is strong at the mo so i may have to wait. thanks again, j.
  24. ok, bloomin' snip wont work so it is as follows... "Ihre nachricht wurde erfolgreich versendet. Vielen Dank." thanks. just as an after thought i am assuming it is German.
  25. i know it is either something to the affect; "it has gone through, thanks." OR "sorry it hasn't gone through, please try again." it was the responce i received after sending off a request of a quote on bits and bobs for the car, so id like to know wether to sit back and relax or i need to try again.. many thanks, J. right, time for bed.
