Problem with SKY TV
I don't have Sky+ or HD. My box was installed 16/5/2006 according to Sky. It is a Pace dv3 box. I do not connect to telephone line so presumably I don't get updates! Does this additional info alter the advice given so far?

Problem with SKY TV
Briefly! Have had problems with Sky- have now got a new viewing card- problem still persists (i.e. cant get all channels but only intermittent problem- it's ok for a short while - max of one hour- if I unplug from mains. Spoken to Sky several times (always different people) & they now want to send an engineer at cost to me of £65!! If a new box is needed they can give me a reconditioned one at no charge but only has 90 day warranty. The box was installed 15/5/2006 so not exactly 'old'. Any suggestions? Better to get a local engineer out or ditch SKY & go cable?

Ice on the Inside of the windscreen
One way to prevent condensatio/ice on inside of screen when setting off is to equalise the screen temperature by driving with windows down ( and scarf , gloves & wooly hat on!)

I once owned a Citroen Dyane (mechanically same as a 2cv), only 600cc. Front wheel drive, very narrow tyres & was absolutely brilliant in snow & ice. Crap rest of time!!

Reminder ~ Top Gear Special
We know it's all set-up for them but at least they could pretend to navigate the route! There was only one mention of 'which way to go' , the short route over the volcano or the long way. even when they set off from the riverbank there was no mention of 'which way?'
