I have noticed that they appear to be faulty on the vast majority of BMW's! Apparantly it's down to driver ignorance rather than aany reduction of the usually flawless teutonic engineering quality!

Since my last post box failed totally. I prevaricated for week or so ( considered Virgin etc). Sky initially said for £65 they'd give me a recon box with 3 month warranty!!- no way jose!! Rang customer services who were keen to keep me. Gave me brand-new Sky+ box for £15. When engineeer turns up he fits Sky+ HD box & tells me they are no longer suppling just Sky+ boxes. RESULT.

Fortunately it's in Scotland so don't think it would necessarilly set a precedent in England & Wales if the fine is upheld. On a lighter note it could have been a lot worse if he had got snotty with the officers!!

I have a DECT phone but SKY reckon only a problem if very close to SKY box. Mine is 10 feet away- far enough?

Have left it alone so far tonight & so far so good! Just checked & signal strength appears to be 100% & signal quality fluctuating from 60 to 70%
