1- By tune i meant Injectors need to be re-mapped - did you have 555c in there before?? 2- See 1 above. 3 - Second hand is NOT good as new. Not sure, as i've never done the Z. However, they must be torqued up??...and in my opinion need replacing as a precaution each time an injector is removed.... Mark with all due respect your initial post was a bit vague...It reads like your pi55ed off because the guy never sent some o rings!! Or is that just me??...I've obviously touched a nerve....sorry for that. However, You also said 'suspect poor pattern' in your vague post - I read this as suspect mapping?? So re-map (re-tune) was my suggestion. But i'd have also tested second hand injectors before they went in?? They might have been gathering dust and rusting in the time you've had to be honest, how do i know? I don't know Mark, but i do know he broke his car in March/April though, which is also what i based my Judgement on. All i'm trying to say is...Did you really expect a set of 'second hand' injectors to run perfect staright from one car to another?!!! Even...when they've been pulled from a breaker car?? They should have been tested before you put them in....and servicing them was the opportunity cost of the saving you made against buying new ones... You took a chance with s/hand, and another chance putting them in before testing and it didn't work out...I feel for you bud. But, £100 to service them...I spend that driving to a garage to change my oil on my Z..... Horses for courses... :duffer: best of luck, TubZ. PS. You mention £90 a week fuel as your main pain....Someonw else mentioned 40p a mile. However, this is only for the first 10k miles. The rest, each financial year is, 25p a mile. This cost is offset against the income of the business (self employed) you work for so you can gain a little, but like has been said you've no security of the job, no holidays (paid) and admin (keeping accounts) is a pain in the ar$e but the benefits usually outweigh the negatives. However, Like most self employed status you also need to be aware of the IR35 tax rule in the case of employee status and working for the same firm beyond 2 years etc etc. Take a look at Professional Contractors group...More for consultants (i'm in IT) but sure they'll point you in the direction of a relevent body...These are worth signing up to, but again cost money!!

Mark might well be at fault for not sending you O rings. However, i wouldn't have fitted new injectors with old o rings as these 'seat' the injector and seal each one. For this he's not at fault, and like you say it's been a while but i'd have been nagging him after a week. Then when they wern't sent gone and bought new ones and fitted those! ..You obviously need to fit new o rings to seal the injectors as the system is pressurised, as well as a tune, and ecu re-set to map new injectors. This should solve your poor running, but this can't be blamed on 'Mark' (whoever he is)....That's Like me blaming the tanker driver who delivers fuel to the petrol station i 'want' to use to get my car to work.....I could use another petrol station.. Don't really see what you're moaning about....

Leftover Chicken/Turkey carcass - Boil the meat off the bones, Strain, add a chopped onion, carrots, potatoes, leek, Parsnip, 2/3 garlic cloves, Salt and pepper. Simmer till veg is soft and serve. Make it in a big, big pot and add water to top it off each night for 2/3 days as a starter or make enough to freeze some for when you're on your todd!! No wonder i'm 17 stone!!!...

However, the engine should never have been built with that Crank!!!! It might not be the problem, but if in doubt and it's an engine out job to replace it.... swap it, renew it or replace it in the first place! This is the most finely balanced piece of the engine and any weight difference will cause undue 'load' on the bearings...Don't forget RPM is Revolutions per minute... meaning that even when running it in at no more than 3000 revs, the crank is turning at 50 times per second and then add the load and torque of the gearbox and wheels and thats why it's finely machined....The missing metal will be 'missing weight' and therefore the crank is not 'Balanced' they should have machined another as this might come back to haunt you and is why the original garage wouldn't want to build with that crank!......Just my thoughts...

We should be moaning at our own polititians getting Tax relief on the extra 24K they are allowed to spend on Londan housing as a 'necessary expense as part of the role' and then when they buy the house they declare thier london homes as their 'Main' residence and get full tax relief on a profit when they sell them on.....I'm sorry but we all know why Lewis is doing it, but when are own domiciled law makers do it then good luck to the guy.....He can't say outright the same as i can't tell you how much work i did for cash last year but everyone avoids tax in some way or other...

Ahhhh memories of Toytown!!!.....Used to live in Sharjah and commute in Dubai in 1999 then they stopped you driving across the desert between the lakes to get to Shindaga tunnel so i moved up-town!!....Visited Kor Fakkan and the rest of the East coast a few times at weekends - Less nightlife agreed, but a long way to go for a quiet week off! Never stayed for Chrimbo and managed to get home each year for for 2 or 3 weeks so never wintered there before! If you want quiet and cheap Si get a cheap flight to Faro (portugal) and drive down to Sagres....nice and quiet, cheap, and a bit of Surf Culture if you fancy it. Otherwise the canaries? (Correlejo, Fuertaventura is nice and quiet). I can't sit still on hols so tend to aim for decent Surf/Dive spots really. If you want to chill and considering Dubai and surroundings, then i'd look at a travel operator in Dubai and get flights to the Maldives from there if you're going that far! Flights out to Kish Island (Iran) are also interesting alternatives to Kor Fakkan!!! Still have mates there if you need anyone to share a pint on Christmas day!!

Take a look on youtube for them....There are some BIG and i mean BIg supercharged moddded ones that are frighteningly quick. These are solid well built cars and surpassed for driveability in the honda range only by the NSX....

Most MIL plates seem to be 1200+ so the combination of letters is sought after. My initials...DJM on any mainland plate fetch silly money, so i bought an irish plate with a Z 300 in it ;-)

Could you not get a digital gauge software module or a greddy unit that will feed into your carputer...no knowledge but sure i've seen this done!

If you get a cataloge you can view before the auction date...not all are run down at Auction. Some are Mortgage repossetions and some buyers who've tried to sell and can't shift it quick enough...like e-bay some houses will have a reserve and you won't know that until a bid does'nt meet it...Not all houses get sold at the auctions!

Find a decent auction site in London and call them and ask for a week/2 weeks trial. Tell them you're a developer from Poole who's moved to London and give them a name like Giant properties at your current address....They'll give you free access if they wan't you at the Auctions! They charge for access and do this to keep what we call 'Tyre Kickers' on this site away from the Auctions. I bought my last house like this and never had to subscribe to the Auctioneers site. Now they send me the catalogue every time a month before the auction!

Used to work on a market stall selling tools etc and always had people writing chq's with no card, business account chq books etc etc. As i was only young, i'd usually be sent to follow the buyer to thier car and take down the car reg no. If the chq bounced they would be reported for theft as it is actually an offence to obtain goods by deception.... That'd be my route if you have information. You could always contact the bank if you're with the same group and your manager might assist?...

Has anyone ever tried ringing the DVLA? They wany to know what size pants you wear to give out information, even when you do own the car and can confirm information!! I think this is just scaremongering TBH...But always wise as it's easy to get near to someone if you really want to..

^^ A definate man in the know ;) ...Mines grey, Smooth on the rear and understated just how i like it... If i re-did it i go for a lighter option grey..take a look at the 240 z baby and tell me it isn't amazing?! Mines like the one on LUKEz centeres site (attached). I tend to think that the SWB suits bolder colours and the LWB is best with more subtle colour. My other faves are PETEY099 and STEVEs green one...just my opinion though. I'm a fan of the Burnt orange that Audi do in the A4, but again only think it would suit a SWB...
