  1. You should be proud of high prices like this! Finally someone has understood that this is a great car and has put a right an fair price on it.Think of all the overpriced Porches and Ferraris, often with less power, worse look, less fun, more problems, expensive parts.
  2. Totally agree - perhaps the best of the car...............
  3. There is a link in the text section to the producer of the kit, it is not expensive to buy.
  4. Scroll down 2-3 pages and see specs and lots of pictures. This is probably the most sexy ZX that has been made........ http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/most-expensive-300zx-show-car-wide-body-650hp-19-3pcs_W0QQitemZ230383727486QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUS_Cars_Trucks?hash=item35a3f0b37e
  5. Here you are: http://www.importpartspro.com/ These are so cheap that there is nothing to gain to look somewhere else..... You also get them in a few days, Kyle is very good ! I have tried him many times, he never fails or let you down. Just go ahead............:smash:
  6. It is hard to understand your message. Could you clearify, please?
  7. I really feel sorry for you, mate. I have had the same experience with my engine and a hopeless "expert". You are stuck now, an engine in parts probably without any additional value for you, a huge bill and the worst: solicitors. A conflict is probably unavoidable. I recommend you to do the following: Let your solicitor write a tough letter to them with an offer to pay say 30-50% of their huge bill, claim the parts, and let another engine builder finish the job. If this is of no interest for them, put forwars a threat to take them to court immediately and claim the full amount back. This will perhaps soften them and they are more willing to compromise. I can promise you that the end of this will be two loosers. What can become worse, is that you will have a car in parts for a long time, perhaps years if you don`t play hardball with them now and get a fast solution. They are probably incompetent on your engine, so forget to let them try to "fix" the engine into a proper condition. Can you reveal the name of the engine builder? (use my private mail if necessary):x:
  8. Several engine builders I have spoken to, engine builders with advanced dynos able to control and measure the engine during dyno tests, say that they see better performance from mineral oil than from synthetic oil. This is valid in especially in extreme situations. Synthetic or semi-synthetic is better when low engine temperatures, but with normal engine temperatures, mineral oil protects the engine better. So if you are careful on low temperatures, there seems to be are more advantages with mineral oil. This was a surprise for me,- perhaps synthetic at double price is more a sales/marketing jippo ??
  9. Hi man, finally I have seen wheels that I like !! Will you be so kind to let med know where can I buy them?
  10. This must be one of the fastest in the UK. Even MAC will have problems with your current performance.
  11. Can you give us the numbers on this? 0-402 meters, 0-60 mph, BHP, top speed etc? :hyper:
  12. Too short, let us know more about your plans please.............
  13. So the final conclusion on my initial question, is that Mac is no one with 609 RWHP and Jaffa no 2 with some less power, 580 RWHP perhaps? No other projects in progress that can compete with no 1 or no 2? :hyper:
  14. Good to hear from you, you seem to have some wrong priorities these days, be careful and now and don`t let work take over for hobbies..................
  15. You need to come up with some numbers too...............:hyper:
  16. Since you have started out for Jaffa, could you go a little further about his project, what has been done, power, etc.........
  17. I follow you and the arguments, there is no fasit on this. If an 300ZX engine with 283 original BHP looses say 15% = 42 BHP, a 800 BHP would not loose 15% = 120 BHP, but perhaps 10% = 80 BHP. Does that seem reasonable, you think, or is 10% perhaps too high? (assume that all parameters like tyres etc are the same)
  18. Exactly the same advice has also been expressed from other experts. The original pump has more than enough capacity for high performance engines. Thanks a lot.
  19. I believe you are on to something very correct. The fuel was tuned up to 1,8 BAR. There are indications on the pistons that the fuel was not fat enough above 1,8 BAR. The damaged bearings took place at 2,1 BAR. Z1 has indicated that proper and good tuning is the only way to avoid engine failure. So there are several indications that you are right. thanks.
  20. Happy birthday !!
  21. Well; I`ll cross fingers. Tuning in the dyno will take quite a long time, do not stress the engine above 8000 rpm, that is my recommendation. Give it very fat fuel on high rpm. Let me know how you you ended with the power.
  22. I have nearly the same setup as you except from: Turbos: Turbonetic T04B/46 - BB-5 KKK10 (530 HP each), JE pistons, and stage 4 heads (from SGP) with larger valves. One extra feature is added to the turbos: porting of the exhaust turbine, this eliminates backpressure. At 1,65 bar I got 826 flywheel BHP of the engine. At 2,1 bar the AOM bearings broke. So now I am investigating which bearings are the best. I understand that you have not stressed your engine or tested in the DYNO?
