  1. That's looking lovely PK!! Quiet unique that one!
  2. Unless your car has an aftermarket ECU you will be rev limited to 165MPH!!! Basic rule of thum is see what speed your car is doing at 3100 RPM in 5th gear then double the speed reading you get in MPH and that will give you your Z'eds top speed. This can be affected by fitting things like bigger diameter wheels so by sticking bigger wheels on you will increase your top end!
  3. Ok Cool!!! Job swop then!!! :D
  4. Could of written this thread myself Dave!!! I'm in the same boat as you, been in retail for about 8 years now but used to work for several computer firms before so got the experiance but like you say it moves so fast... I want out too now for the same reasons as yourself and wanna get back into the IT world... At least with my current job I still get to play with computers, do general upgrades, re-installs, trouble shoot and diagnose.. I started doing networks when I was 19 which was on the good old Novell platform doing peer to peer and server configs back on windows NT so hopefully that might count for something when I try to go back into it... Only problem is I've got nothing on paper to say I can do the job, it was all hands on and taught to me by previous engineers... Might have to go down the same route as Royal I think just to get that piece of paper..
  5.  :D One point english lesson Part 2!!! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PQ0cwzzONu0
  6. Looking good Kirbz!!! Can't wait to see the end result!
  7. Very good find there David... Didn't realise the Z won le-man... Recognise the car is the same as the modified one in GranTurismo 1 on the Playstation though!!
  8. Trust that bloody Pete Frozenburger to mentioin skylines!!! No wonder Silvia engineering went tits up... I know he's done some good cars but the expression putting all yer eggs in one basket etc???? What ever happened to cheeky chappie Steve Berry too????

  10. Hey Greg, Never met you but your still a fooking legend, top bloke and always will be!!! Hope to see you at a meet sometime in the future if ya go... Take care dude and wish you all the best for the future.... Jonny
  11. Just wondering when my clutch is gonna give out now im running at 407Bhp and 402ibft torque... As far as i'm aware it's a stock clutch and have all the back receipts for any work that has ever been done on my car by the previous owners... I remember when speaking to Royal at last years meet his car was on the standard clutch too...
  12. Steve, that was an excellent video!!! Really enjoyed every minute of it!!! Nice to see some other cars on there too and the drifting and rain storm looked fun!!! 14. I'll try and get something organised then so people have got time to come down to Cornwall if there in Devon etc... Ray is still around driving his Z but some fecker recently smashed his windscreen so he's getting that sorted...
  15. Many congratualtions to all!!!
  16. Problem sorted!!! Managed to get my Z back to day all working again... Nothing to major, just air got into the system so they re blead the entire system using some vaccume tool to drain every last drop out then put in the new fluid and problem sorted!! On gotta lightly tough my brake pedal now and i've got awesome stopping power... Makes a difference having slightly bigger brakes and also makes me realise how bad my discs we're before!
  17. Defo good idea... I know there are a lot of Z'eds down here that arn't even members of 300zx.co.uk so think we'll have to knock on there windows!!! Have to organise another summer meet soon get everyone togerther.. Last 2 weeks of august might be an idea???
  18. Thanks very much for everyone's ideas!! Like Daveman says he did think the seals have flipped around the wrong way... I'll let you know whats happening as soon as I do!!
  19. Well my car has gone in for some bigger discs yesterday and was due to pick the car up today but my mechanic says when he presses the brake pedal it goes striaght to the floor!!!! He's tried bleeding the brakes but not much is happening... He thinks the Brake master cylinder as probably gone or got a problem with it i.e the seals or something have seized in vaccume or need turning the other way... Gotta wait till monday now to find out if it can be fixed... It was working when I took it in there!!! Any idea on here I could throgh at him would be much appreciated or if anyone has got a spare brake master cylinder floating around I can pruchase off them!!!
  20. Helo and welcome to the fun house dude!!! :D
  21. Nice one Shelton!! On the subject Roger and myself we're commenting how nice your Z was looking parked outside work the other day... Good wheels on it to, suit the car very well...

  23. As Andy said... Did this to mine over a year ago, the det sensor is right in the middle of the V but to get to it it's a plenum off job...
