  1. I'm going next week for the first time. What does everyone else do clothes wise? Going for a week and i have 1 ski jacket, 2 ski trousers, 3 base layers, 4 pairs of socks, ski boots, ski gloves but mit type, scarf thingy and sun glasses. Do i have everything covered? People say i need this that and such n such. Also what about evening wear??
  2. Sooo.... Sorry my private messages have been full and i've been expecting a few pm's to confirm details. Once again so sorry if you would like to confirm the details then i can get everything out in the post. Thanks, Chris.
  3. Think i'm getting a good deal but just wanted to make sure. £42.50 a wheel and for that they will remove the old tyre, repair the alloy mainly curb damage, powder coat it and refit the tyre or incase fit a new tyre. That's the quote before actually seeing them as they have like a big bolt on the which holds a cover over the wheel nuts which is a different colour to the alloy and has a plastic logo inside which needs cleaning also.
  4. huh??? just put in paint with the colour picker they are the same, how random.
  5. the vertical lines must fade in or out they are different.
  6. I've spent all my savings and to do a wide conversion although i've already purchased the parts i'm still looking at about 3.5k for a nice job which i really don't have even if i did have it i still might even be tempted to send it back to the garage and get a few other bits done. Yeap all that, was hoping for about £300 considering my last full respray costed about £800 but that shows hence needing touch ups, i like it how they rubbed the doors down nice and smooth and you can't see where they were rubbed down with a harsh grain. It's now mechanically sound and rather quick so would be nice to refresh the exterior until i can get the wide arse fitted, besides that's not even arrived yet so if i did say sod it and get it all done properly i couldn't as i don't have the kit.
  7. i don't know how to check the offset, today i took a hack saw to the hicas bar and took the lil nobble bit off which was catching on the wheels, they are a much better fit now.
  8. I've got a wide arse on order and it's not turned up yet but even if it turned up tomorrow i don't have that sort of money to fit it. So thinking about at the end of the month when i go snowboarding for the week putting my Zed in the bodyshop for a tidy up, what i mean by that is respray front wings and mesh them as they are the viper ones and have gone bubbly, also maybe spray the bonnet. Spray and fit my new front bumper to get away from a stock front end and also remove my rear wiper and fit my skyline spoiler. I've had all the anti stone chip on the sides removed and smoothed some time ago. Also might tint the windows. Keeping in mind it's black is there anything else small i could do while it's in to change/update the appearance? Cost wise, what would you expect to pay for that? i'm hoping few hundred pound.
  9. I've had the hicas disabled but do i need to keep the hicas arm rod thingys which connect upto the back of the rear wheels?
  10. Cool ok point taken, Falken 452's it is. i'm going to get a 275 for the rear and a 235 for the front but not sure what profile to get, shall i stick with the 40 rear and 45 front or go for 40 all round? Going to order early next week.
  11. these are the ones. http://www.kumhousa.com/tires/passenger/ultra-high-performance/KU31.do for a 285/40/17 your looking at £108
  12. Really?? mmm... that's interesting as the Kuhmo is allot cheaper and they go upto 285 on a 17" rim.
  13. That is pathetic, what is the country coming too?? sorry i mean what has the country become. You should piss through the Police mans letter box as he sounds a complete Twat!!
  14. My understanding is a chip will make the car slightly faster on it's own but only slightly. But if you were to pair it with a boost controller or fit boost jets which only cost a couple pound you would notice reasonably big gains. I have a full ecu for sale which has already been chipped which is just a case of unplugging the old and plugging in the new if interested.
  15. Yeah pretty cool advert, realised when it was first shown but.... there again i am a pretty big Lost fan. Advert is a tad on the shady side though, flying end of Feb kinda off putting though, may print some out and hand them out :D
  16. My mate was going on about that the higher end Kuhmo's are very good. Is this true or are they poop? He is talking about the Ecsta Sport range.
  17. just went out in the cold and can't see any stamps for the offset.
  18. There are better manufactures of subs and speakers out there. I'm not really with all the audio side of things any more but.... When i was i would of gone for a JL Audio W7 sub and Alpine speakers but there top range can't remember what they are. You don't need to match up all brands as in my opinion Alpine were the best head units and JL Audio were the best subs and then i had Inifity speakers as they were very good for a reasonable price in fact i still have them. Also, don't bother with 6x9s you get a better sound from a round speaker and buy Components as the Tweater and mid are seperate providing a better clarity of sound and the bass will be better. Ok you will have a sub but you want speakers which can also handle a reasonable amount of bass.
  19. I have no idea what offset they are, how would i find that out. Is it me or is buying tyres complicated? Ok i've decided to go for the Falkens but now i'm not 100% sure what size to get, the on sure is the last part e.g. for a 17" rim lol.
  20. i'm hoping my kit will arrive some time soon making it 4 wide boys of 08 hehe. Will chase it up next week.
  21. shall i stick with a 225 for the front or get a 235? these are 8" rims on the front. Also stick with the current profiles 45 front and 40 rear?
  22. Legrath and aswell they do them in the sizes i may need for the front, both a 235 and a 225.
  23. Interesting, wasn't expecting that. They are very reasonably priced also. Will have a read on them then thanks.
  24. Ok, i've mentioned that i'm having major traction issues with the power it's now running. I've looked at the used alloys i bought and to my surprise they are 10's on the rear which i can't believe as they are currently runnig 255's so luckly i will get a decent grip with the right tyres The fronts are 17x8jj and the rears 17x10jj which are pretty big and currently have 255's on them. Not many manufactures make tyres over 265 for a 17" and i need as much traction as possible. Toyo go upto 265/40/17 Verdestein Ultrac 275/40/17 and a cheaper option Falken FK452 275/40/17 Kumho ECSTA Sport 285/40/17 cheaper than all above. Initially i would go for the largest being the Kumho but just because they are bigger don't mean they will provide more grip as they could be crap, Toyo i would get if they were bigger and Verdestein are meant to be good but very expensive as for the Falken they are fairly priced but not sure what they are like as a tyre. And what about the fronts? stick to what's currently on there? 225/45/17 or go for a 235? Also what about the profiles? would a different profile be better instead of 45 front and 40 rear? As much info and help as possible please as it's currently dangerous to drive, spinning in 4th/5th is scary
  25. does it matter if the lil plastic end bits have brok off on the injectors, the like dome-ish bit where the fuel squirt out? It don't look like it would be a issue but may be there for a reason.
