Modified 300's oil comsuption
Just to add to this, I've given it some thought and when i checked the oil the engine was piping hot so the reading would be very low anyway also my oil light never come on. Maybe it's not a issue down to low oil i may just come to this conclusion as i was in a panic. If it's not that then something must of broke/come apart within the engine, not sure if this is better or not as then i may have a leg to stand on when it comes to someone being liable.

Modified 300's oil comsuption
It's not that smoky. I've done about 1000 miles may a lil more or less. I really can't believe this has happened. I was hoping it's a engine failure so i may be covered in some way.

Modified 300's oil comsuption
Nope, pretty crap. Going through a really bad patch as well so this isn't what i need at the moment. Tried starting it straight after it stalled and when i heard that noise again i've not started it since. I've not touched it in any way so the oil has not been topped up, i don't want to risk voiding what warranty i may have if any. Nope it's not that smokie.

Modified 300's oil comsuption
As far as i'm aware i don't think there are any leaks. The Gauges don't work. The Aem should be setup so the oil light comes on still. Thinking about it, i checked the oil when the engine was very hot, there is a possible chance i have more oil than i think and that may not be the problem. What do you think?

Modified 300's oil comsuption
Hi, Everyone with modified 300's do you find that your cars use allot of oil? Reason why i ask is that it's been just over a month since i've had my car back, last night a really loud grinding noise come from the engine and grinded to a hault, checked my oil levels and it was almost empty, assuming this noise was because there is no oil. I know bloody huge deal, checked oil only few weeks ago. Keeping in mind i've only had it back just over a month and i only drive it weekends and the odd occasion during the week does this sound right for amount oil it's burnt?

Turbos,
As you may know i'm having troubles with my current setup, i'm hoping that my turbos are fine and it's something else causing the issue. Seeing as we have a good rate to the dollar at the mo i'm looking at some other turbos just incase mine are not suitable. I was looking at a JWT turbo kit but Z1 have took the JWT kit and improved on it. I'm after something which can produce allot of power but not too laggy, best comprisation of the two. my current setup GT65RS GT725R I may be getting ahead of myself and keeping my fingers crossed my current turbos will be suitable but just planning ahead so i'm not in the dark

Grand Turismo 5 Prolugue
cool lets hope for damage :D I don't know what console to get the cross platform games on, i think games feel and the controls are better on a 360 but the graphics are meant to be better on the PS3. help.... :D

Grand Turismo 5 Prolugue
Few... thank god for that!! I was going to say that's pretty pants for their leading game. Few.... I wasn't that impressed of the Demo availible via download. Comparing it to the likes of Project Gotham and Fornza the hadling was pants it was over the top beyond realistic and very difficult to make the car go round a corner without hitting the barrier or slidding. Also the reverse and break lights didn't work, hoping that is down to being a demo. I know they are minor details lights but it all is part of the bigger picture. It's the little things that make Fornza like the break disks glowing red when you break. Also no damage?? this day and age all racing games need damage.

down pipes to improve lag.
Ok i will post up the Dyno sheet when i get home. I don't know much about the turbos. I know they are not ball bearing and that the larger housing is a T3 and the smaller housing with the turbine in is a T28 and they have built in wastegate. I have a Greddy boost controll which controlls my boost. I'm not sure if they are as the mapper may not of interfered with the wastegates on the turbos but i do remember that they a adjustable bit on top.

Grand Turismo 5 Prolugue
Omg what's going on??? Just saw it advertised for £19.99 So i was thinking huh?? why is it half price of everything else on the PS3 and Gran Turismo is known as the racing game for the Playstation. So i looked into it a lil more and only 5 tracks??? What's that all about, omg i will get so bored in minutes with only 5 tracks. what's going on?? they buggered that one up. Am i missing something?

Vtc
Think they are 88mm pistons.

Vtc
Would it really, that's random. Yeap to all, I have the biggest Wiseco pistons for our engines along with 1.2mm Cosmetic gaskets. The car is fully mapped and yeap i have a Dyno print out, will upload it tonight. I don't know how to read them, all i know is it made 520bhp at the flywheel and 575 pounds of torque.

down pipes to improve lag.
The turbos are custom built by turbo technics. They are a T28/T3 hybrid. I considered the leader gears solution but i have a Quaife Diff which still isn't fitted, the leader gears would fit inside this wouldn't they? but would they fit with the Quaife design cogs? I don't really understand how all this works. Maybe i should sell the Quaife and fit the Leader gears to my current stock Diff. I don't know what to do but as it stands i'm not happy with it as the power kicks it really late and when it does kick in it kicks in so hard the revs go up stupid fast and i bugger up the gear change as i can't change quick enough. i get minced from a stand still, once i hit boost i catch up but then it's usually too late as they then start backing off thinking they one :( on a roll in the right rev range i can mince most things. It's so bad something don't seem right.

I have JWT R4+ Cams. The Aem probably isn't setup to use it then. I was hoping it kicked in lower rpm as the car is currently so slow lower rev range and this not being setup may be why. I don't think it's because of the lag due to big turbos the car feels slow until they kick in. E.g. if a NA 300 gave me a drag it would kick my arse until the turbos kick in as something don't seem right lower down the rev range.

Exhaust systems.
How much would i be looking at one for one of the above and where can i get them from?
-
Vtc
Does my 300 have it?? 1990 Twin Turbo. How do you tell if it's actually working? Basicly i've had the engine rebuilt and not sure this was done correctly. Also when mapped on a standalone such as a Aem do you need to setup the Vtc in the mapping side of things or is it purely mechanical? Also Vtec on the like of Honda's is used higher up the rev range is this the same for ours?

Exhaust systems.
That's a real bum. I really liked that system. I want a Jap brand system. Wonder if i can get hold of a Super Drager twin exit or Veilside explosion.

down pipes to improve lag.
Have we got a contact for Greg Dupree? or are they known as Speciality Z? I have the Mike Smith Manifolds. Yeap they are the newer ones of my down pipes but the last link is their latest ones and meant to be their ultimate design.

down pipes to improve lag.
My 300 is rather on the laggy side which i kinda expected. i currently have the specialty Z super splits But they now also make these expansion down pipes and i also found these which look awesome ultimate splite downpipes Remembering i already have the super splits in the first pic, these are original Speciality Z ones and not ebay copies, would i notice much difference going up to the other ones? basicly will they be worth getting??
