  1. CJ was running a Link i think. My mate is running big power on his supra and is very happy. I guess allot of it is down to the mapper. I just didnt have the best experiance with my Aem. It didnt idle very well, couldnt trust the car as it would peak, stall and just randomly cut out at low revs normally when pulling out of junctions. its was running rich on two of the injectors. My brother also had a Aem on his RX7 and experianced similar issues to me. Although were both mapped by the same guy Dan Turner. Then both our engine go pop. So trying something different this time round.
  2. Yeah sure thing. Would be good to have something to compare to. There is always room for improvement no matter one you do and have been toying of the idea going with a different intercooler setup. I'm changing the engine management to before. I did have the Aem but were going for a Link this time round.
  3. Cool which one is that? The TDM works front mount or the Ash side mounts? I currently have an Greddy front mount, pretty big. not sure on the piping size. Not sure it would be worth changing. would i really get a noticable difference to justify the cost.
  4. :D Well after being disapointed last time i got it rebuilt and then for it to go tits up as it did next time round had to be a better spec. So you have not driven it yet with those turbos? Mine is exact the same, progress is very very very.. slow. weeks turn into months now its a year.
  5. I'm curious about your spec after hearing you are running the same turbos as i will be. I have heard allot about those turbos. All good things, was wondering how you find your power curve? I can't really see my car taking much longer than 3 more weeks. This is my spec i will be running. 1 x Z1 Ultimate VG30DETT rebuild kit NO BEARINGS - Bore Size: 88mm (.040" OS) - Cometic Thickness: .060" (15 thou thicker) - Head Gasket: Cometic 89mm - Fuel Rail to Pleanum seals: 90-94 - Piston Ring Compressor: Yes - Upgraded Rods: Eagle Connecting Rods - Det sensor harness: Yes - Compression Ratio: 8.5:1 (Standard TT) - ARP Head and Main Studs: Yes - Idler Pulleys: Both 1 x Ferrea 1 mm O.S. 6. wonder if it will make it un bearable to live with as a daily car. sound wise that is.
  7. Sweet hides Where are the leds?
  8. Sounds like he knows the 300 how would he know it is an titanium key if not
  9. No problem is a problem with this guy. And I thought I bodged things. Well with exception with my 300.
  10. Yeap thats the one. How do you find that setup? I've heard good things about it and excited to get it up and running.
  11. Oh really. Dont get what the big hold up/issue is then. They are an Garret GT3071R
  12. They might fit the 17's Depends on the design of the wheel as much as the size.
  13. did the sound deadaning weigh much? Worth while doing?
  14. yes he has put a bolt through the turbo pipe connecting the engine mount to the car. Not only will those move all over the place it is damn wtf???
  15. ready for this??? Yes i believe it is an Z31 however look at his solution to fitting the turbos with the engine mounts. shocking!! Surely he must have some common sence to hook up the turbos himself but huh???!!!??? http://www.redz31.net/pages/turboupgrade.html the particular pics in question..
  16. are there any uprated engine mounts availible for the 300zx? not the bushes the mounts sit on but the actual mounts themselves. reason being that on bigger turbos the compressor comes straight out onto the mount making it difficult to fit the pipes onto without modification. just wondering if there was anything off the shelf availible.
  17. Cool i did get it right then. Yeah a pic would be great thanks. I am trying to explain to someone else how it all goes together. wanted to make sure i got my head round it correct first. and the pic will help explain what i mean.
  18. Can someone confirm if my understanding of this is right please. The air flow comes out of the turbo (bit compressor outlet) along the pipes which you can get metal hard pipe replacement for (but the outer ones) then down behind the front bumper and into the intercoolers out of the intercoolers along the inside pipes which you can get metal hard pipe replacements for then into the Throttle bodies. Is that correcect? If so is there any blown up diagrams to show that? perferablly with an front mount intercooler as that is what i have. An diagram would be very very very... helpful to show the route of airflow from turbo to throttle body preferably with front mount though. Thanks.....
  19. looked on the greddy website but they dont load properly. images are corrupted and its not the same from the one that come with it.
  20. Has anyone got an instuction manual for an Greddy FMIC kit for the 300zx? I need the fitting instructions. I believe Greddy made several versions mine is the one which come with the twin induction kit. Believe they done an 2 and 3 row versions, are the fitting kits different?
  21. Shhh... Give Mental a break haha, meanies!! Loose the fusion badge on the front though. yikes bring back some memories 2x 15" fusion power plants in my first car.
  22. S14A's look pretty sweet also
  23. I believe D2 and KSport are sister companies. The D2 brakes are exact the same as KSport and the Ksport brakes are meant to be very good. Also KSport are cheaper!
  24. think.... Both Z1 and stillen do Z specific ones.
