  1. cool, think i might bite the bullet and go for it then. Thanks...
  2. woops forgot to say, what is involved to get -camber? do i need some special magic adjustable camber bars or anything or can it be done on stock?
  3. Cool sounds the thing to do then. Gives it the JDM look aswell i guess. Braking on the rear brakes dont really matter that much as i have 8 pots sitting up front.
  4. haha, yeah im 25 so not much older. mm... Well it is more of a weekend car but i go to shows and abroad on occasions which will mount into a fair few long drives. Something i need to put some thought into before just doing. If i was going to do fixed seats they would be loads lighter, without access to the rears they might as well come out and if im stripping it down there is no point for all the plastic trims else where and in the boot. Would make one hell of a good weight saver.
  5. I really dont think i can get anyone in the back anyway. The car has been lowered and sitting on wide tyres which will no doubt rub with anyone in the back. Getting people in the back is least of my worries. Just wondering about comfort.
  6. I would love some buckets for my Z but would really like some recliners. the ones i want are allot of money purely because they are recliner buckets. I'm just under the impression a fixed bucket seat is not adjustable and would be uncomfortable. How much truth is there in this? How do you find your bucket seats? are they uncomfortable? How do you find the fixed position? I will fit in them no problem but a bit of a short ass so without being able to adjust the height is that a issue?
  7. Really hope so. dont want to sacrifice any grip or handling with too much camber. Going to get the arches flared and rolled to hide the wheels a bit. the car is sitting pretty low on coilovers. that pic may of been when it was on the car lift. not sure as i didnt take it.
  8. front 235/40/18x9 et35 rear 295/35/18x10 et22 but... this is the outcome...
  9. yeah would be good to make a event. Car will not be ready by then neither will my brothers.
  10. Wow very impressive. You are running a similar spec to what i will be. Mine is just missing off the 2.5" piping and the Ash side mounts. I have the Greddy front mount on smaller piping. Ash side mounts are meant to be awesome. Any ideas of power output?
  11. I am planning on going later this year, august is far too soon for me.
  12. We saw you... Parked in the hotel car park. went to the festival of 1000 bikes, stayed in the hotel couple nights. Might of seen us. We stand out abit lol, my girl is rock chick with lip pierced n nose. Was in the bimmer, Zed still in the garage. Oh was a member 300zx.co.uk in the window.
  13. They look great!! However allot of money. I think my paintwork is way beyond restoring as it was a budget respray and shows, was a temp fix as i wanted to spend the money on mechanical and concentrate on the exterior once its running a spec im happy with.
  14. That worked thanks. Engine light still on though, just need to reset it.
  15. have you got a link to them? i've had a look on their site but cant see them
  16. I'm just curious if anyone knows what the white 300zx rear bumper is on the Adrian Flux banner? When i say banner i mean the gif on the forum. Acutally second look it is a wirde arch kit. I normally aware of most kits, not seen this one before.
  17. Cool Thanks Jeff. Will do, it is easy to check as it set at the top of the engine and very little pipe between the AFM and the throttle body. Would it be ok to go with a cheaper copy rather than a genuine BMW part?
  18. I called the Rac out in the end. Unplugging the air flow meter fixed it. He said ok to drive short distance e.g. to a garage. Am i correct to assume that replacing the AFM will cure it? if so i can do that myself instead of taking it to a garage as its easy peasy. I found one on ebay for £30. Will this be any good? or are non genuine parts asking for problems? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Air-Flow-Meter-BMW-316i-318i-316Ci-318Ci-740-0280217124_W0QQitemZ190304896188QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM?hash=item2c4f0e44bc&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=66%3A2|65%3A2|39%3A1|240%3A1318|301%3A1|293%3A1|294%3A50 Also found this, its a chip and takes the afm out of the scenario and cheaper. Apparently gives more bhp, but how do i know it is actually working? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/AIR-FLOW-METER-CHIPPED-BMW-3-4-5-6-7-SERIES-M3-X3-X5-Z4_W0QQitemZ260417656832QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM?hash=item3ca21a1800&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=66%3A2|65%3A2|39%3A1|240%3A1318|301%3A1|293%3A1|294%3A50 Which option is the better one? I thought my car was getting heavier on fuel. that explains it. Thanks for your reply Jeff.
  19. Help... My bmw is driving really rough to a degree where i couldnt drive it this morning. Over last few days it's been getting worse and worse. When you accelerate the car doesn't go, it shakes like it's peaking. The revs take ages to build up and hardly move. I'm going to take a look shortly, what can I try? I'm going to check the plugs, leads, blockages in the air intake, fuses. Any loose pips in engine bay. Anything else? Any ideas??
  20. Another possible solution is perhaps 300degree fuel rails?
  21. My dad loves his Fords, keeps buying Granada Cosworths. yeap he keeps buying them as one goes wrong he just keeps buying another. I really cant work it out! he likes all the buttons and gadgets apparently, but dad! they are gay... I keep trying to get him to get something cool, Lexus Soarer is a gadget car with some power too. and does not look like a brick with wheels.
  22. oh no... looks terrible haha. yeah the six tail pipes said enough. cough.. chav :P
  23. have a read of this. http://www.ashspecz.com/ashspec/Double-Pass%20Radiator/DoublePassRadiator.htm Basicaly this setup is using a 16" spal fan and a shroud. the key part from this link is... "Without the shroud, you are limiting the radiator's cooling ability by almost 50%."
