Were you one of us four black ones that bank holiday monday in the summer (OEM wheels)?? I've seen a v.nice standard looking black one a few times round town and the coast!! I always high beam flash or wave when i see one time!:D Keep it Zed!

Mine's a black TT with 18" bbs alloys, reg P***ODA. Often seen gracing the parking bays ouside POPOLO on Pilgrim Street of a Firday or Saturday night!! There are at least 4 Black, 2 reds and a pearl white one with a full body kit and high-line spoiler kicking around Newcastle and the coast. I keep my eyes open for ya mate!!:D Cheers, Glenn!!

Silver convertable Zed parked outside the Apartment bar on Friday evening reg "B1 ***". Looked absolutely imaculate! Anyone know about this one?

I've got a Black tweed interior with '300zx' embroided into the seat backs...never seen these in another Zed...anyone know if they're a custom thang or a later spec?

Just out of curiosity, what's the point in putting a 2.5l skyline engine in a zx? I mean surely 3.0l is better (more torque)? The only thing I can think is power-to-weight ratio or is it simply a stronger, better engine? I test drove a couple of 2.5gts's with aftermarket exhuats, fiters, B.O.V's, etc and TBH was not terribly impressed with the power (rest of the car was fantastic:) ) so i went for the zx...:dance: Anyone got the answers?

Just got mine back last night!!:dance: It turned out to be an oil feed pipe to the drivers-side turbo! A week of driving a mixture of (gratefully loaned by a dealer friend): BMW 318is, Nissan Patrol, Volvo s40 t4 and...........ready for it.......A CINQUECENTO!!!:rofl: it feels great to be back in the zed!

The mechanic can't look at the car until tomorrow, so I'm still really worried! BUT I've been doing some searching on this forum, tech articles and basically anything i can find on the web and although I can't find anything which matches my problem I'm hoping and praying that it's maybe an oil line for the turbo:confused: .The reason I think this is the fact it happened all of a sudden, ticking over at the lights then smoke from under the bonnet NOT from the exhaust and oil pressure loss. If anyone has any idea what it might be please let me know!! BTW I've calmed down since yesterday and as long as I don't end up paying £1000+ on repairs......(quick prayer:( ) then the Zed is staying! After all what else would you wanna drive after having one of these beasties!!:D

Driving to work this morning in a very calm normal way and all of a sudden bellowing plooms of smoke start pouring from under the bonnet! :eek: On closer inspection it seems there is a massive oil leek from the drivers-side turbo:( :( I'm off to the local mechanic to see what it is, but i fear a substansial bulk of cash will soon be departing my company:cry: If that's the case then serious considerations are gonna have to be made as to wether i keep it.....The Zed is definately not my friend at the momment! Wish me luck people....I'm Bloody well gonna need it!:(

I was just warning those members who were considering fitting Blue neons to their cars!!!;) If that is the case, then why are these colours being advertised and sold?? I.M.O this was a total over reaction by the Police(not unusual). Perhaps a "producer" to either change the colour of the tubes or remove them altogether within 7 days would have been a more appropriate action.

On the subject of 'NEONS' I was parked up near the local barry boy's meet in the summer watching a few loons spinning around their modifed crates, when a guy pulled up next to me in an impreza with blue neons under the sills and bumpers. We started chatting and after about 5 mins a police car pulled up and asked him to get into their car. I sat talking to his mate and when they let him back out they'd given him a £60 fine for showing BLUE light from his car!!! He was PARKED FFS....:eek: The police had told him if they'd been a different colour they wouldn't have bothered. Aparently it's "illegal" to show blue light on your car. Still it's good to know our taxes are being spent well..:rolleyes:

:( What about newer 300's?? Mine's a 97 and the Hicas is not where it usually is on earlier models. I've been trying to work out where to put my amp (need to keep the limited boot space), but now I'm a bit worried....:confused: Usual cries for HEEEELP!!!

Anyone know who does the bodykit on the bronze (1st) one?? I really think it looks nice. I'm not a bodykit fan, but that keeps to the car's original lines nicely. Anyone got one??

While we're on the subject of that car, the B.O.V's are on the two inside hardpipes, from the throttle bodies (as seen here http://z1motorsports.com/Image%20Gallery/Customer%20Cars/300ZX/Mike%20Vale/pages/IM000536.htm ) yet on a mate of mine's car they are on the outer pipes near the HICAS and fuse-box....:confused: I'm no mechanic, so is there any difference to the function of the B.O.V's in these two positions and what's the verdict on having them anyway (cool noise aside)??? Cheers!!:)
