New clutch, noisy pedal
Yes just undo the two bolts holding the slave cylinder to the gearbox and you can pull the old one over the fork lever and refit a new one. Jeff

Tech thread link
Ok bit of an old thread now but may well be of interest to newer members who have not seen it or anyone who has not searched the topic. http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?121328-Real-world-zed-fault-cause-s&highlight=real+world+faults Also as a reminder there are plenty of tech threads to find mostly with pictures that I posted over the years, just search JeffTT in advance and hopefully be of interest. New clutch, noisy pedal
Take a quick look at this thread of mine from some years back: http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?145251-Nice-clutch-tech-thread&highlight=clutch+fork the fork can rattle at the revs you mention if worm, even replacing the rubber shroud can stop it as the old one gets perished. Unless you had previous selection or crunching issues with the gear change I would be inclined to drain the box and refill with EP75W-90 semi-synthetic gear oil, sure it will help bring some of that unsupported bearing noise. overdue get together
- Think Nissan might be running out...
Back order can just mean awaiting delivery from their supplier, it when you get the "no longer available" reply its time to worry, saying that there is stock in the US, when ordering from UK Nissan dealers they have a storage warehouse in Lutterworth then Holland and finally Nissan Japan, at no time will they try US dealers. Jeff- Door handle disassembl - Scratching fresh paint?
This is a common problem caused by the tolerance on the moving handle parts been a compromise, however when we were breaking lots of zeds we found that some had more clearance, the moving handle parts is sort of riveted where it rotates so looks difficult to get apart and put back together. We tried grinding a little amount away on some but it was so tricky it became easier to find handles with a bigger gap! just a case of finding some. Jeff- HICAS Deletion Question
Any one with any comments on the HICAS eliminator from Driftworks, excellent bit of kit removes all of the wear out of the system, cut the feed pipe at the pump end and feed back into the resevoir. Jeff- Cruise Control
Many manuals come without cruise and hence the brake pedal does not have the switch or the mounting thread for it, for this reason its best to use the auto brake pedal and cut the foot pedal section to accept the smaller rubber foot pad and thus retaining the brake kill switch. Jeff- New clutch, noisy pedal
Try operating the clutch without the engine running to see if the noise is related to the the pedal mechanism or the hydraulic, any of these maybe under a little more pressure from the new clutch cover and maybe need some wd40 on. If the noise is when the engine is running only it likely related to the release bearing or/ and moving parts, depending on the clutch spec the bearing carrier have different depths and poss you have the wrong one if you used a big clutch kit. Jeff- Restoration (nearly) finished

Stunning mate, love the colour. Jeff- Leaking fuel injector ???
Wow that looks amazing, what fuel pump you running then? does it smooth out the typical pulse feed? Jeff- good garage in South east
Jim at PowerZed in Bristol has a genuine Nissan 300zx ABS testing kit which will find the issue in a jiffy, check him out in the trader section. Jeff- Ngk spark plugs?
NGK PFR6B-11C plugs are standard issue twin turbo plug ( and an excellent plug ) the 11B is a cooler running plug favoured by some especially in the US when tuning. Jeff- Leaking fuel injector ???
Okay, can I ask why no damper? Jeff- pcv valved re-visited tech
The non spring loaded ones are from the Z31 and by coincidence fit the Z32. lots of peeps using them successfully, guess it depends on the individual engine and turbo condition. Jeff- Hello boys and girls...
Hi Jim, long time no speak, sort of think I recognise that reg. will check the data base see if it ever came in the workshop. Jeff - Think Nissan might be running out...
