  1. No worries mate, I am sure the fuller situation with them will be clarified in time, but meanwhile my concern was with members cars there location and security. Jeff TT
  2. Well Chris as I said the word comes from customers asked to take their zeds away because they have or are ceasing to trade, now if the case is they are just simply moving then it begs the question why mislead customers? I think the customers would know the answer to that, also most of them are members on here would certainly welcome some clarity on the situation. Jeff TT
  3. Mmm..for a change eh? lol Jeff TT
  4. Ok the state of play at the moment is that approx. two weeks ago we were made aware there was a potential issue with Ztech trading status, this was from one of their customers forced to collect his zed unfinished, at that time I considered posting the info here but as it was not first hand thought better of it. However this week more direct information from has continued to reach us and has worried us sufficiently that it seems prudent to make aware any one who may have their zed with Ztech needs to collect it now! just to confirm that means NOW! Jeff TT
  5. Cruise control cut out switch, connect it in series with the same on the brake pedal. Jeff TT
  6. If you have 740 injectors fitted AND trying to start on a standard ecu you will defo have a flooded engine now! Danny at DTA (trader here) should be able to help with a suitable chip and getting your own ecu socketed to accept the new eprom. Jeff TT
  7. Sorry matey missed this post somehow??, yes still doing the free checks and set up, let me know when and will squeeze you in somewhere. Jeff
  8. Top row third from left 10amp red fuse, side light feed, main beam works as a default. Usual causes of blown fuse is when work been done stereo head unit / area or side light bulb at the front gets water ingress in the light unit. Jeff TT
  9. The relay is fitted in the side panel behind the passenger seat, a relay is used as the rear hatch is connected via a diode this way although they operate the same light they are electrically isolated from each other. To fit the unit that fades the light off you need to fit it across the relay contacts and not at the door switch, if its just the on off delay then it can be done at the switch. Jeff
  10. Jeff TT
  11. Hi Tim, All cambelts we have changed in the last 10 years wil be on our data base, also we always take a full photo journel of the work with mileage/kilometre recorded, did you get the laminated photo journel? if not let me have you reg number and can print you a copy set off and also check the other details you want. Probably best to e-mail your reg. plate rather than show it on line,jeff@zedworld.co.uk Cheers Jeff
  12. That`s a wicked price! I expect that includeds a brand new turbo with 360deg bearing then. Jeff
  13. Another Google search found this random but odd blog, someone who has the time to search through magazines, websites etc looking at adds and then passing comments on them almost as a peice of art ( good or bad) unreal he passed a comment on a Zedworld ad ???? http://aphilosophyoflife.blogspot.com/2008/10/ad-assignment.html Jeff TT
  14. Google does some funny things, when looking for one thing you get such random items pop up that oddly they then are of interest?? http://www.justgiving.com/pages/?pid=1470111 Jeff TT

  16. Replied now, missed it somehow sorry matey. Jeff
  17. ? Not sure I did, back in a sec. Jeff
  18. Oh yes, that used to be an auto. Nothing to worry about. Jeff TT
  19. Look for a cluster of unused auto box connectors by the hicas valve. Jeff TT
  20. Ptu`s are the same on TT and NA, the running issues you have are not uncommon and the usual connections need checking like temp sensor, tps, ptu etc. and also check the throttle balance. Cleaning the throttle bodies and butterflies is always a good idea as they can get oiled up and this disturbs the air flow at just the throttle openings / closings you mentioned. Jeff TT
  21. White smoke is water vapour, making changes to the exhaust has lowered the exhaust temperature to a point where any condensed water is showing up. Jeff TT
  22. Hi Richard, For your information we do use a bodyshop thats on the other side of the road to us, plenty of the guys here have had work done there recently Jonce had a full respray colour change, kit fitting etc. A full respray in same colour is £1,500 any dinks knocks or deep scratch damage would get done within that. Their number is 01827 303999 Andy is the guy to talk to. Jeff TT
  23. Fully open is good if possible and safe but if not open the inch or so off the latch will help. Jeff TT
  24. Top tip, nice one Gary  been doing this myself for years and can confirm it does help keep the plastic bits in better shape. Jeff TT
  25. Hi Romaine Just to help your recollection of the work done and in what order Inspection October 2008 Mileage 89,351 Paint and corrosion issues Sticking calipers ( UK zed ) Badly scored discs N/S hicas arm Return for work to be done Nov. 2008 mileage 89,403 Discs pads, calipers replaced and brake fluid. Return for work Feb 2009 Mileage 89,739 MOT Replace hicas arm 4 wheel Tracking ( done by local tyre bay) Return for work March 2009 Mileage 89,966 Complete underseal Fit new exhaust 4 wheel Tracking ( done by local tyre bay again) NO CHARGE Ok now that makes it clearer for yourself and other to see that given the original tracking was only done as there was evidence of excessive tyre wear, and this been some four hundred miles after the brakes were done any issue with pulling will NOT be connected to them. Having the tracking adjusted correctly( checked twice now) has eliminated any alignment issues, speaking to the guys at the tyre bay they have confirmed that, tyres worn by incorrect alignment can still cause pulling even when it is corrected as the shape of the tyre tread is not flat. Of course Romaine they are only too happy for you to return and they will demonstrate the full alignment set up for you. Please if you not 100% happy please contact the tyre bay or ourselves, however new tyres are the most likely next step. Jeff TT
