  1. Looking good Andrew - you have got my vote sir...
  2. Today, I finally fitted my new double-DIN radio bezel.... ….The CZP item is a much better fit and finish that the Z-ThirtyTwo one I had previously....
  3. It is indeed Andrew - New Year's day, or thereabouts...
  4. Here's a couple of random selfies from my 'phone...… …..And please let's not mention the forbidden one...
  5. Nice one JP....
  6. Happy birthday for yesterday Kev - hope you had a good one mate...:happybday: Richard:thumbup:
  7. What does the fluid smell like mate.....? Coolant has a very distinctive smell - like fenugreek
  8. I'm thinking the same too.... Looks way to far to the right, to be from the cooling system. Good luck mate; hope it's not too bad:clover:
  9. Quality fuels being the operative words!! Yes, I do appreciate that pretty much all fuels come from the same refineries, but the likes of Shell, BP, Esso, Texaco etc., will then add their own detergents - and all to pretty much the same standard - just avoid the cheapo (or not always so cheapo), odd lesser known brands:wink: Avoid supermarket fuel too, IMO, but if you have to, then only go for their super UL; as the higher octane should help. Some members swear by Tesco Momentum and I have used Sainsbury's Super UL in the Zed when caught short - with no ill effects.
  10. Yup - and I did the same a short while back.... For the very same reason; I'm keeping my original one, just in case, but decided to buy a new MAF at that price before they become NLA!!
  11. Happy 40th mate - hope you have a great day!!!! Richard:happybday:
  12. Yup - I still would, if I'm honest mate..... Still living on the Defender's reputation; yes. But able to go where other 4x4s struggle - a Land Rover or Range Rover will probably do it. Only last year, during a period of heavy snow, I paid a visit to our work's yard. The access road is up a steep incline - which early that morning was covered in a sheet of ice. No-one had driven up it - some of my colleagues had tried, in (for example) a Ford Ranger, a Ford Kuga with awd, and a Rav-4 - and failed.... I did wonder why they had left their cars at the bottom and walked up. When I had breezed straight to the top without issue in Julia's Evoque, without even bothering to engage snow/ice mode... Granted, days like that are few and far between - and yes, I'd LOVE a Defender (a nice SWB V8 would make me very happy) - but I would still buy any LR..... Apart from the fugly new (and stupidly expensive) Discovery. What were they thinking:lol::oops:
  13. Thanks Gary.... There are a couple of bits on the paintwork that need putting right - but nothing major; and still have to replace my DD-radio surround (which I have in the garage). Oh, and get it to Jimmer for a new cambelt and AC regas…. But otherwise yup; happy to be back in the Zed again...
  14. Hi Dave - and welcome back!! Richard:thumbup:
  15. Nothing today..... …..But on Saturday, I fitted my newly acquired third brake light (thanks Tom.....)…. And on Sunday, I filled the Zed with fuel and took a trip to Waterperry - just a little trip, mind, but at least I have the obligatory pictures (@JP - LOL)....
  16. Happy birthday for yesterday Andy - hope you had a good one mate:happybday: Richard:thumbup:
  17. Unless of course you want/need 4wd.... In that case it certainly doesn't mate - I don't dispute that Peugeot has upped its game, but the 3008 was not available in 4wd, last time I looked!
  18. I agree - and don't agree mate....! A friend at work replaced his c43 AMG for an M4; and whilst the M4 was without doubt the better car (it's a competitor to the c63, after all), it never sounded as good. That's where I drew my comment from; he took me out a few times and whilst the car sounded good inside, when we opened the windows, it did not sound half as good... His c43 (and my slc43) sounded way better!! Might be to do with the BM being a straight-6 and the Mercs being a v6. I still do like the M4 though, don't get me wrong, and would indeed buy one myself!
  19. Must go and get a copy....
  20. Excellent video Tommy - thanks for sharing...
  21. Agreed - but then even BMW uses it in the M4, which IMO, is a decent car.... Pretty crap, though when you think the car sounds good, but then you open the window...
  22. Looking good Trish...
  23. Count me in for this as well Si..... 1: Funkysi (Simon) 2: AndrewG 3: nickz32 4: Joely P 5: RichardS
