You found a lady in Southend???? :D I've not been there for a very long time........... I used to go to TOTS nightclub when I was a teenager, living in East London.........Some of the girls there, then........  Soooo many memories, I just can't remember their names  :slap: Richard ;)

What do i do next
Hi RC In view of recent threads, you may get more response by spending the first £20 on a subscription....... That's the only advice I can give, I'm no expert on tuning  Richard :)

Biggest compliment 4 my car, ever!
I got exactly the same comment when my car was being valeted last summer. The little boy was about that age and his mum was well fit :D She said, "well, you've certainly impressed him..." so to show her what a nice guy I am, I let the kid sit in the driver's seat for a few minutes just to chat to his mum a bit longer....... Richard :smw:

Offset
I believe it means any wheel with an offset between those numbers is acceptable. I'm no expert, though..... Richard

Made me laugh

European cars
Yup, UK and Euro were the same apart from that. The ZX was sold in Uk/EU up to the same time, it was owing to EEC regs that Nissan stopped selling them in 1994. There would have been a few left over, hence some 1995 registered cars would exist although rare as rocking horse sh1te !! Richard

headlight bulb
Useful to know...... I've just added this to my "favourites" list  Richard ;)

Aerial adapter
JUst order the Autoleads one from Halfords, mate. There was a thread on this subject a couple of days ago IIRC, give search a try :) Richard ;)

Should the boost pipes be hot after a run?
After a hard run, my boost pipes feel hot too, as does the whole engine bay. Temp gauge still normal, though. I also had the same with my old Supra, when I parked up in the garage, you could feel the heat radiating from the whole engine compartment..... Richard

headlight bulb
Hi Sideshowbob If you have done the H3 conversion, the best bet is to fit either PIAA platinum white bulbs (£38-ish from Demon Tweeks) or log onto http://www.autostylin.co.uk and buy either Osram or Phillips + 30% 55 watt jobbies (only £14 inc P&P) While you're there order Osram +50% H1s for your main beam....they're dead good  All the above give the light of 80watt bulbs from only 55 watts. I had PIAAs and fitted Osrams just to try them - they were just as good so I left them in, plus they are way cheaper..... ;) Richard :smw:

Sunday, Sunday!
Sure was a nice day for it.... :hyper: I had to do the Sainsbury's run for the month this morning, so we didn't get far today. :( Still after lunch at the Italian Restaurant in the village, I took my Zed out of the garage and gave it a good wash and polish.......... .......then spent the next hour just looking at it out of the window (and watching my wife working hard tidying the garden.....):slap:  Richard :smw:

Tyre size
According to Demon tweeks tyre size/rim width calculator (on Toyo Tyres page, if you have the catalogue) 265 tyres should be used on rims between 9 and 10.5 inches wide. Lowering the profile to 40 (ie265/40/16) may be OK, although 255 would be better (use on 8.5 - 10 inch wide rims). say 255.45.16 The trouble is finding those sizes for a 16 inch wheel. 245s are the widest 16 inch tyres I've seen anywhere, as I said earlier if you can get wider they will be fekking expensive coz they are so rare. 255s are common for 17s and upward so prices aren't too bad (I paid £120, fitted, for a 255/40/17 Goodyear F1 before Xmas) I'd stick to stock size until you can splash out on bigger rims..... HTH Richard :smw:

Exhaust Backboxes
True for a TT (which I assume you have....) It has been shown that fitting pipes of a very large bore on non-turbo cars can actually reduce performance. Richard ;)
-
Tyre size
On 8.5 inch stock rears, I would say 255/45/16 or maybe 265/40/16. But these sizes get rare limiting your choice of brands and increasing costs. If you want wider you really need to go for bigger wheels. Richard

New tyre scrub in...
I've never felt this either TBH, with ZX or previous Supras. What make/sizes did you go for? Richard

Woohoo, Zed passed MOT today
Went without a hitch....... :hyper: Plus, owner of garage is a mate and only charged me £30

help for jap spec arial???
I bought the Autoleads kit from Halfords (not their own brand one) as a special order. It has both the aerial adaptor and Nissan-to-ISO adaptor for the power, speakers etc. Cost me £18 for the lot IIRC One thing to note, if you have the stock amp there is no live feed to power it from the adaptor so the rear speakers don't work.... ......solution, use a scotchlok connector and join the aerial power feed to the amp power feed. painting Z front
Hi Arthur I replaced my UK centre pannel with the j-spec one too - I also don't like the Nippon Badge. I was lucky enough to get a red one from Andy Z, though so no painting needed :D If you want it to match the rest of the car then use WHITE primer. Using red or any darker primer will mean the top coat will end up darker than the rest of the car. Only downside is stone chips show through more when the undercoat is white :( (If you look at any chips on the car, you will see white primer used as standard) HTH Richard :smw:

Why do ppl still all want manuals ?!?!
Most UK cars were probably autos too.... The original buyers of these cars (at £36K ish) from new were most likely late 30s/early 40s company director types. Being a GT rather than sports car (like 928) would also have a lot to do with it..... Richard ;)

FFS, there really are some w@nkers out there!
Here endeth the lesson...

"plus VAT"
Hi Pete Another lost soul........ And you drive a Red Auto Zed too........ Richard ;)

"plus VAT"
Actually, he probably does.......in a way. He would know which of his goods purchased were zero rated and would pro-rata his sales accordingly Also, bakers often have two tills...one to ring in hot food sales (vatable) and one for cold food (no vat) Ever noticed on your Sainsbury's bills, some items have a * next to them? These are the vatable items so their software can calculate the vat..... Can't tell I'm an accountant, can you ???? :slap:  Richard ;)
