  1. Yes.... Kent Terry, used to be a trader here a while back. http://www.jap-city.co.uk Richard :)
  2. I recommend here too...... Go for the Stillen metal brake pads, good upgrade for about £55 Richard :)
  3. Me too. I believe these are also the stock setting, but this felt right with my 17s as well. I tried a little lower, then a little higher as suggested by the tyre/wheel seller (as effect of changing wheel sizes can vary between cars) but settled on the above..... Richard :)
  4. Nothing whatsoever wrong with having gsd3s on the front and gsd2s on the rear...... Of all the tyres I've tried i think the goodyears are way better than all others (in fact only Michelin Pilot Sports came close, but they are v.pricey) and there is very little difference between the "2" and "3" anyway. I have the gsd3s all round, but i have 17s...... :) Go for them, you'll not be dissapointed  Richard
  5. This is true re the speedo. It doesn't have to be in MPH to pass an mot - several import dealers leave it in km/h to cut costs but the car still comes with an MOT. Some LHD cars from Europe which have been registered here if the owner stays also read in km/h but still pass an MOT MOT test say the speedo/odometer must be operational Richard :)
  6. too.......... boring
  7. Fekkin hell  I've had my ZX to 160, but the speed limiter interupted progress  The car felt rock steady and was still pulling like a train  I have driven an HKS prepped Poopra at 300kmh ("stack" instrument pannel, not stock one - no idea of accuracy though) and a Lister Jag at an indicated 180mph....... Not on public roads, of course  Richard
  8. Heh heh, LMAO  ;)
  9. Fekkin hell mate, is the pill not free "oop north" ??
  10. Hi all I found some Gliptone leather conditioner in my garage the other day - had it left over from when I had my old Jag. So on Friday I thought I'd treat the seats in the ZX........ Took the ZX out today and the leather feels much better. It's softer, looks cleaner and smells of leather again too  Very impressed :hyper: My seats were good before, no scuffs or cracks and I always cleaned them regularly but now they are damn good :D Richard :smw:
  11. Just give him a :slap: Richard ;)
  12. A middle aged woman spends $5000 for a face lift and feels pretty good about herself. On her way home, she stops at a news stand to buy a newspaper. Before leaving she says to the clerk, "I hope you don't mind my asking, but how old do you think I am?" "About 32," was the reply. "I'm exactly 47, " the woman says happily. A little while later she goes into McDonald's and asks the counter girl the very same question. She replies, "I guess maybe... about 29?" The woman replies, "Nope, I'm 47." Now she's feeling really good about herself. She stops in a drug store on her way down the street. She goes up to the counter to get some mints and asks the clerk this burning question. The clerk responds, "Oh, I'd say... 30." Again she proudly responds, "I am 47, but thank you." While waiting for the bus to go home, she asks an old man the same question. He replies, "Lady, I'm sorry, I'm 78 and my eyesight is not so good. Although..., when I was young, there was a sure fire way to tell how old a lady was. It may sound a little forward, but it requires me put my hands under your bra. I could then tell you exactly how old you are." They waited in silence on the empty street until curiosity got the best of her. She finally blurts out, "Oh what the hell, go ahead." He slips both of his hands under her blouse and inside her bra and begins to feel around very slowly, very carefully. He Lifts one breast then the other and holds each and touches and caresses each breast... After a couple of minutes, she said, "Okay, okay,... that's enough, how old am I ?" He completes one last squeeze and removes his hands, "Madam, you are exactly 47 years old." Stunned and amazed, the woman says, "That was incredible,... how did you know?" He replied, "I was in line behind you at McDonald's." Richard :hyper: :hyper: :hyper: :hyper:
  13. Sounds good, go for it mate  Richard :smw:
  14. Fragile head gaskets and generally unreliable. Buy a Rav4 or Honda CRV instead :hyper: Richard :D
  15. I think it was around £34,600. The price dropped in 1993, according to WhatCar Oct 1993 (Supra v ZX v 3000GT v Pork 968) the price was £33,230 HTH Richard
  16. Synthetic oil is manufactured rather than refined mineral oil, but I think it is manufactured using mineral oil components  In theory you "can" top up the sump using a different type of oil but in high performance applications I would say best not. If you don't know what type of oil is in the sump either drain and refill, or when simply topping up use semi-synthetic until the next oil change. Richard ;)
  17. Just looked in my car bible for the stats..... 928 GTS 5.4 ltr (360bhp model) 0-60 in 5.4 (ZX 5.6) and 100 in 14.3 (ZX 14.5) top 168 mph (ZX 155 restricted) If Dave is running 400bhp and up against the 928s4 (5.0 ltr and 320 bhp) he should do it........ :hyper: Go for it, mate :mac1: Richard
  18. Nice, James. Very nice. Really updates the dash  Richard :hyper:
  19. No idea, but they are pretty heavy..... My 17inch Azevs are way lighter than stock :) Richard ;)
  20. Hi Dave Actually pretty even to 100mph then I started to edge ahead. I was about a car length ahead by 150 and the ZX was still pulling strong, but neither of us gaining any further ground. He got ahead after my speedo showed 160 but the UK ZX is limited to 155 so that was me probably flat out :( (Doesn't an unrestricted ZX hit around 170-ish too? ) so Pork got in front though not by much - I was still on his tail :) My ZX is stock, but for an induction kit though....... Richard :smw:
  21. Agreed. If you're putting out 400bhp there will be no contest. The stock TT is virtully identical in performance to the 928s4. Also during tests when the Z32 was launched, Nissan's driver stuffed Porsche's driver testing the later 928GT (330bhp) round the Nuburgring (spelling?) track :D The 928 is a great car, though. I nearly bought one until I drove a ZX ;) IMO it's the 928 that feels heavy, gotta love that big V8 grunt and pulling power  In fact I've raced 928s4, not much in it but I got to 150 first.... :slap: (Would've had it if the rev limiter wasn't there ;) but they are good for almost 170 ) Good luck Richard :smw:
  22. As you say, each to their own. But I think your wheels suit the car, especially as it's red ;) I've seen a few imports coming over with them so there are a few others who agree. Richard :D
  23. Classic   ;)
  24. Clearly a woman of taste  My wife wanted me to get a Poopra..... :slap: Richard ;)
