Tony Blair and Chums. Read This and Weep!!
On a similar note though, I heard that when the Blairs left No 10, their house in Connaught Square was not ready so the family were allowed to stay at Chequers for a short while FOC..... I live very near Chequers and pass by each day going to work. There was no security on during the time they were meant to be there - unlike when he was resident whilst still PM. Richard

Tony Blair and Chums. Read This and Weep!!
This is indeed so - and I am not one of TB's fans - in fact I am a old Thatcherite! I believe Tony kept a guitar though..... Looking at Maggie's gifts, she did purchase a few but the majority were "retained by the PM's office" It doesn't say exactly that she kept them, it could be that "The PM's Office" implies the state have them...... ......who knows ;) Richard :D

Long hair, interviews blah blah

Insurance ringround for NA July 2007
Hi Gio, So you have another ZX then? Cool.... ......I found Norton/Heritage quite good for my classic policy; about £75 cheaper than Carol Nash this year ;) Richard :smw:

Engine flush or Not
I have not personally used a flushing treatment in my zx (I don't think it has ever needed it) but I have used it in my previous cars (including 2 Mk3 Supsa Turbos) without problems. JUst steer clear of additives and use a decent quality oil in the first place! Richard :D

dodge vader
Actually I never said he was a nerd....... .........he says, referring to an earlier thread where some American fella on an internet forum took offence at being called a nerd, so he drove 1300 miles to burn the other guy's house down :nelson:

My neighbour's bought the A-Team van!
Sure does...... .......get yourselves to "Cars of The Stars" in Keswick. They have the original one now - plus David Hasselhoff's very own KITT after filming ended. He donated it to the museum. I'm off to the Lakes in September so I will certainly be returning for a visit  Richard :D

Long hair, interviews blah blah
I agree with this too Steve. What type of accounts job are you going for? I only ask as I'm an accountant myself - I spent 16 years in the profession, where things were a lot more "traditional" (You know, suit/tie/short back and sides etc etc). Now I work in commerce as a financial manager/director and things are a lot more casual. I go to work in jeans and a t-shirt, unshaven etc and it doesn't matter. In the last 3 1/2 years I've only worn a suit 3 times (and one was for my Gran's funeral!). Plus as an interviewer myself, I wouldn't judge a male applicant on the length of his hair. Providing it was well kept and not those awful chav-stye "curtains" or greased down look then all would be ok. Based on your photos, your hair would make no difference to me (in fact I'd be jealous because I'm bald ;) ) so go for it. Good luck mate! Richard

ztech??
Ditto...... .....and lets face it, it's best to do business with one of the few specialists who actually do have experience working on a 300zx than some grease monkey who doesn't. Richard :smw:

Wonder why they never made a bigger sump for the Z32?
That's not a bad idea mate! A decent oil will still have loads of life after so few miles so why not..... Richard :D

Would you buy a car without a decent forum to back it up?
It would depend on the age of the car in question but I would probably still buy a car, regardless of any related internet forums. With an older car I might do some 'web research first - like what to look for and what the common faults are. I bought my 300zx before I found this place - luckily I bought wisely and in almost 5 years it has never let me down. Although this place is a font of knowledge for many things other than the 300zx - when I was buying an SLK I was thankful for the advice given by our very own Merc expert, PaulC. (Cheers Paul ;) ) Richard :D

this video explaines, why 200's are better drift cars
The 300zx is wider with the wheels placed closer to the actual corners of the car. It also has a lower centre of gravity - hence better stabilty

Wonder why they never made a bigger sump for the Z32?
An extra litre of oil would increase weight....... :nelson: I do agree though - 4 litres of oil is not very much for a 3 litre twin turbo'd car. Didn't Nissan have to re-design the sump after the effect of centrifugal force during high speed cornering caused brief moments of oil starvation - leading to engine damage? Richard ;)

12v ignition live that stays on when engine cranks
I would have thought that when the engine cranks over, 99% of battery power is used in actually turning the engine. That would give the impression that a 12v live circuit (eg the clock) is not live during cranking, when in fact it is. You are probably just experiencing a power drain from all other circuits when you turn the starter. Richard

if you've got some spare change then....
And even if you did have the cash..... .....would you buy one off of Ebay??? ;) Richard :D

petrol protest for cheaper petrol
My thoughts too. Whilst I agree that petrol in the UK is overpriced, most people (not me though) have been brain-washed by the green lobby. So ironically they would probably now support the high prices because their namby pamby liberal conscience just won't let them think otherwise. Plus my employer pays for all of my personal fuel (yes, for the ZX too) so I don't care ;) Richard :D
