Who was or who's car was at Zedworld today? + Big thanks
My car was there..... http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?p=1256578#post1256578 I collected it after midday so I missed you. I did meet Sixpenz though; plus another chap from Bristol but I forgot his name;) Richard:cool:

Big thanks to JeffTT......
As above!! My Z failed its MOT last month on having excessively coroded rear brake pipes. However I dropped it off to Jeff last week and he has now fixed it - I collected the car yesterday:hyper: Jeff also replaced the leaking master cylinder, fixed the intermittant driver's window fault and ran a Conzult test tweaking any bits as necessary. Plus he had the car MOTd for me too. Thanks Jeff - you're a star!!! And thanks to Linda as well for the "shuttle service" to/from the station:bow: I had a very good run home too :p Richard:cool:

Short term insurance
Do you have another car that is currently insured? If so, contact the insurer and ask them to put the Z on your current policy for a short time. I have done this in the past when selling a car - I already had a new car and when I transferred the insurance over, I asked the insurer if they would cover the old car for a fixed time (say 7 days) until I could sell it. They duly obilged for around £25 IIRC. Richard:cool:

M.O.T Fail
Mine failed on the bake pipes last month as well.......:( Luckily it's with Jeff at the moment being repaired...... .........I should be collecting it this Saturday.....:) Richard:D

new turbos still smoking
I'd agree - firstly it will take a good long run for all the old accumulated oil to burn away. Secondly a "30" grade oil is too thin for a 300zx TT. The high engine temperatures dictate that a "40" grade is necessry for a stock engine; rising to "50" or even "60" for a highly tuned example. Get rid of the 10w30 and replace with 5w40 or 10w40 fully synthetic of a high quality. Richard:cool:

Bird Sh*t stains and wax
Give it a layer or 2 of good wax polish now. That way if it happens again the turd will eat into the wax protection and not your paintwork;) Richard:D

totally gay....
Beat me to it....... ......I was going to say fit yellow bulbs;) Osram and Halfords sell "all weather" H3 bulbs. They look blue in the lights but shine yellow when lit. The yellow tint is actually better in rain and fog as there is reduced glare reflected back at you. Richard:D

advice please
Fixed! And sound advice as always Jeff........ ........I happen to have iridium plugs in my Z - I reckon I'll take Jeff's advice and go back to the standard ones;) Richard:cool:

Cleaned my Fiesta
You're welcome mate:D I drove mine for the first time in a month yesterday - to Jeff's so he can replace the dreaded brake pipes for the MOT. I loved every bit of the drive up there; the Z was running so well, felt so good both to drive and be seen in. I've driven a 350z and it's a nice car but I didn't buy one. I have another "350" - my SLK which is way better than a 350z. It's faster, better built and better looking (not quite as good handling as the 350z though). My point is, as much as i like my SLK, having given my Z32 a good blast yesterday it's easy to see why the 300zx is a great car. Better than a 350z IMO;) Richard:smw:

Good.....:D And he only drives like a cock because he doesn't have one........;)

Capital punishment. What do you think?
I'm all for the death penalty for crimes like murder, mass rape and habitual child mollestation. I really object to my tax money being spent on keeping said scum in jail. With the accuracy of DNA evidence now it's daft not to....... .........but I'm not entering into a debate about the rights and wrongs of capital punnishment - it's just my opinion and the thread starter simply asked for exactly that;) Richard

Cleaned my Fiesta
Keep your 300zx mate...... .....I reckon I saw it at Zedworld today and it looks a nice one;) Richard

Hardcastle and McCormick
I remember it:hyper: Hardcastle was an ex judge and McCormick was a car thief (or something like that). The old judge made it his mission to go after all the bad guys that escaped his courtroom on a technicality;) I was a regular viewer back in the day as well:p Richard:cool:

How often does 'shall I sell my Z' go through your head in a year!?
Hmmmmmm..... .....only when I see another one for sale that I'd quite like:nelson: Otherwise despite that fact I hardly use mine now I'd still rather have a Z than not;) Richard:cool:

Can anyone tell if this is a Z32 water pump ...
That's what i thought as well...... I'm sure that Jeff TT posted a thread about this some time back - apparently the OEM item has a much larger impeller. That of course would be better for coolant circulation and we all know how hot a Z engine gets and how important efficient cooling is! Richard:)

A Massive Thanks To Zedworld!!!
What a top guy! My Z is going up to Jeff this Saturday to have the brake pipes replaced for the MOT. I've never met Jeff before but just get the feeling it's going to be in safe hands...... Richard:)

what's ya fave film of all time
There can be only ONE:dance: It has to be the original Highlander with Christopher Lambert and Sir Sean Connery. Just brilliant!!! Plus it has the best movie soundtrack of all time - Queen and more Queen. In fact my first wedding dance was "One Year of Love" from the Highlander soundtrack;) Pulp Fiction is almost up there too; along with When Harry Met Sally, Superman the Movie and Running Scared (the 1986 film with Billy Crystal & Gregory Hines)...... Richard:D

JDM Mudflaps - Yay/nay/bodycolour or stock
Me neither Si. Especially on a white car - IMO they only look "OK" on a black Z; the car looks best without in all colours though....... Richard;)

A Collector's Zed - Part 2
Nice one Phill:bow: I'm pleased it has made it into the club and will be looked after!! I'm also pleased that my description was of use too! I did know about the previous owner (and saw the rest of the cars stored there!!) but at the request of the seller I kept that info off the 'net before it was sold;) Good luck with it mate.
