  1. Straight to the point as usual Alan......:p Richard:cool:
  2. That's sooo true Steve....... .......Someone should be employed to give all these retards a lethal injection for their own safety:wack: Richard:cool:
  3. Well after the new Z decided to damage my ribcage last week I've (kind of) got my own back - although it's still going to cost me money.....:o I thought I'd have a go at removing the orange lenses inside the indicators this afternoon; for that clear look. I couldn't be asked to use a soldering iron, drill or hot screwdriver; I thought I'd just try and break it using a hammer and flat screwdriver. That orange dome is tougher than it looks - the first whack did nothing so I tried a bit harder. The dome came away and went straight through the front of the lens; smashing a great big hole in it:slap: Anyone got a UK spec R/H indicator in very very good condition.........:headvswal Richard:(
  4. I know mate - I don't like to moan....... ..........although I'm going to milk it at home for a few weeks to get Julia running around for me...... .......Now I'd better tell her to go out and mow the lawn - it's getting a bit long;) And thanks for all your kind words chaps:cool: Richard:smw:
  5. Hi Pete I think the best place is to push the wire through the grommet which the bonnet catch cable passes through..... ......I remember doing that when I was wiring in the front fog lamps! Richard:) PS moved to correct section for you.......
  6. I have to agree as well...... .......I'm a Z-world convert and will take mine there for anything other than the routine fluid changes in future. It's worth the 200 mile round trip for me to know that my Z is in safe, knowledgeable hands! Richard:)
  7. Don't know Si - there's of course a 50% chance I may not have though;) Heh heh heh - you're all heart, Phil! The car's in better shape than me at the mo:rofl: Cheers Dave - I guess I was clumsy. I was trying to finish the job quickly so we could go out for lunch.......:wack: The doctor told me they can take ages to heal too - she also advised taking 4-6 painkillers 4 times a day if it gets too sore! I'm not doing that - I never take medication unless absolutely life threateningly necessary..... Richard:)
  8. No, not reliability issues...... ......but real pain! I bought PhilP's blue ZX last Saturday, as one or 2 people know. Anyway last Sunday I was, amoung other things, installing a CD changer system in the boot. Whilst crouching in the back, removing the rear seat cushion, I heard a small crack. Not sure if it was me or the car; next thing I know I feel a sharp pain in my chest that left me winded for a few minutes..... ......Long story short, I have been in pain all week; so after visiting the doctor (actually, Julia dragged me there. As usual.) I was told there's a 50% chance I've cracked a rib:slap: I don't know if I have - it could be just a muscle strain - but it f***ing well hurts. A lot - especially whilst breathing! How could I have been so clumsy - it must be age:o Richard:smw:
  9. Why do you need to know, Dave........ Richard:smash:
  10. The Chrysler - isn't that just a bargain basement version of the (old) E-class? Actually the Chrysler has grown on me over the last year or so - and with its astonomic depreciation, used versions are very good value. Plus the unenlightened amoung our great population have sometimes been known to mistake the Chrysler 300 for a Bentley.....:o It's a lot of car for the money but I must admit to being a bit of a Merc fan in recent years. I am now on my second SLK (a 2006 fully loaded 350) and I love it to bits; superb build quality, looks and presence. And it's never gone wrong (yet.....) So if it were me, I'd probably go for the (not so good value) Merc:x: Richard:)
  11. Good question buddy....... .......just so that I could moan; I guess!!! Richard:D
  12. If we're lucky a space ship will land on the pitch and take them all away; never to be seen again........ ..........Bloody football:headvswal Richard:tongue: PS Just my opinion - I hate football with a passion:wack:
  13. Hi Pete, I'm glad you are pleased with the car so far.....;) I hope it's as reliable for you as it was me (not including the gearbox going bang last year of course). Richard:)
  14. I think that's the route I'll go. I've been an Orange customer for 15 years and the only reason I stay with them is coverage. Whenever I'm way off the beaten track in the wilds of Cornwall etc, I always have a signal when companions on other networks do not! It can be a bit poor inside some buildings though - I believe that's down to the frequency used. Orange and Tmobile use a different frequency than O2 and Vodafone....... Richard:cool:
  15. First thing I spotted in there as well......:nono: Richard!
  16. It didn't happen back in 1989 either..... ......that was supposedly at 1:23:45 on the 6 July (01:23:45 6/7/89) And it was better than because there were no zeros betwen the date! Just plain old 0123456789;) Richard:D
  17. Personally I'd make the trip to Jeff at Zworld. He has a fixed price for that job; which could end up costing you hundreds in the hands of an inexperienced garage. Richard:cool:
  18. Those lights were a good find mate - £300 brand new........ .........I've just bought a set for the blue ZX:hyper: Possibly cheaper than buying from the USA once delivery/duty/VAT added. Plus I'l lget them quicker!! Richard:)
  19. I know mate - he's a spammer! I've just removed 6 such threads and banned the twat! Richard;)
  20. Joking, right;) I agree with what Legrath said - £2495 for a late-ish UK spec car with under 100k miles (even if it is an auto)........ .....unless all is not what it seems. Caveat Emptor;) Richard:smw:
  21. No way - he's older than that....... Only joking Alan; have a great day buddy:hyper: Richard:cool:
  22. LOL at both.... And happy b'day for Sunday Al - have an extra :duffer: from me........ .....shame I can't join you but there's 300 miles in the way:smash: Richard:tongue:
  23. 11.5 stone!! - how tall are you mate? I weigh around that and I'm only 5 foot 7:o I don't think I'm fat......although Julia reminds me that when we met I had a six-pack stomach etc etc:x: However I discovered beer; and found that constant excercise was not the path to a happy lifestyle...... .....plus I'm married now so I don't have to impress anyone:rofl: Richard:D
  24. I have "cleaned up" this thread now, removing personal references to Kash, Si's comments etc etc. Let's get it back on topic and keep it there, please guys;) Thank-you! Richard:)
