  1. I was once - but old habits die hard Allan:bow: You're right though - if it's cold Julia and I sit round a candle. If it's really really cold I may light it......;) Richard:cool:
  2. Hi! All UK spec cars (of any manufacturer) have 17 digit VIN numbers... Richard:)
  3. Heating on in September.....???? Not a chance......! I won't even think about that until November; if Julia get's cold she can put on a jumper whilst I sit here in a T-shirt. And I thought your Northern types were meant to be tough:rofl: Richard:tongue:
  4. I thought that S1 cars had iron calipers, the S2 had aluminium; then Nissan reverted to iron after that...... ......could be wrong though:p Richard:cool:
  5. Ah yes, now that's what I remember from posts I have read before..... ......cheers budy!! Richard
  6. Hi all, Whilst clearing out my garage I found a new, boxed radiator cap. On the box it's listed as a Denso (part number 022510-0580) and on the cap itself is a Nismo sticker with the rating 0.13Mpa (1.3kg/cm2). I've read some bad things about the Nismo cap on here; but this looks like a Denso with a Nismo sticker. Do you reckon it's safe to fit or should I bin it? Thanks, Richard:cool:
  7. I reckon you accidently "fixed" it whilst changing your steering wheel! It could have been a duff connection that you simply re-connected during the process....? Nice when it happens though:D Richard:cool:
  8. And there was me thinking Jordan and Peter.........:D ......no,wait. Haven't they split....? ......like anyone really cares about J&P, anyway....:xxx: Richard;)
  9. It should take no more than 4 weeks. However the holiday season has virtually come to an end so they could be light on staff and running behind.... Give them a ring tomorrow and ask! Richard:)
  10. You'll not be disappointed with that black one then; except for maybe the price. It is an NA; it was on auto trader a few weeks ago. I phoned the garage as I would have been interested if it was a TT...... ....plus I only live 5 miles from Chesham;) Richard:cool:
  11. I like that Si:bow: I wasn't too sure before you fitted it, but now it's in the car it looks much more OEM than your last one. It does blend in well.... Richard:cool:
  12. You won't be disapponted mate! Jeff and co know how to look after the 300zx:bow: Richard
  13. You should be able to mate..... .....if not, give Mike a call on 01277 374201 Richard:)
  14. Have to agree - it looks like a hideous Hyundai of some sort:shock: Richard
  15. Nice one Steve - and I reckon you took it to the right place in the end!! I'm glad it's sorted and home at last! Richard:)
  16. Buy the parts from Mike Feeney at MJP Auto in the traders section and get a competant garage to fit them...... .......or take your car to JeffTT at Zedworld in Tamworth for the lot. Richard
  17. There's been many a debate on this..... ......and for what it's worth; my personal opinion is don't! ABS is such a vital safety feature an any car - so much so that most new cars come with it as standard. However good a driver you are, you simply cannot "cadence" brake quicker than an ABS system can operate. Get your brakes fixed to work properly; refurb the calipers, fit new discs and pads, then change the fluid. You will notice the difference.... Richard
  18. Yup - Andy is based in Norfolk - Thetford to be prescise! Plus his ebay name is "Andy300z" I bought an aerial from him only last week! Richard:cool:
  19. I was just browsing the Auto Trader 'site and came across this: http://search.autotrader.co.uk/es-uk/www/cars/NISSAN+300+ZX/Ne-2-4-5-6-7-8-27-44-49-53-61-64-67-103-133-146-236,N-10-240-4294966338-4294966789/advert.action?R=200933339706230&distance=213&postcode=HP16+0SU&channel=CARS&make=NISSAN&model=300+ZX&min_pr=2000&max_pr=&max_mileage=&vehicleYearOfManufacture=1994&vehicleRegLetter= Looks like Cornish Wrecker's old ZX up for £10k..... Richard
  20. Love that interior Si:bow::bow: I think the new 'wheel will definitely be better than the old;) Richard:cool:
  21. Not bad Si - I quite like that and look forward to seeing it in your car....... .........however I actually like the standard ZX wheel too. If it's in very good condition, stock is best IMO. However many people have aftermarket steering wheels; but most don't quite suit the ZX. Plus I happen to think that all aftermarket wheel bosses spoil the smooth look somehow. Your new one will, I reckon, look better than (say) the Millenium; plus most others. Richard:)
  22. Looks quite tidy from those pics.... ....good luck with the purchase mate!! Richard:cool:
  23. What he said - don't worry about it for the time being. As long as your coolant level remains constant and there's no overheating the the HG is fine. And oil will of course be blue smoke;) Richard:cool:
  24. M3 will be cheaper to run. It's quite a lot better on fuel for starters; plus there are many many more specialists and parts suppliers from which to source repairs for the BMW. Plus it doesn't have turbos......... Richard:cool:
  25. Did you need it? Mine's a 1994 UK spec and it didn't have the "dim dip" (unlike my old ZX). I unplugged the small adapter connecting the loom to the light and pluged the spade connectors for the ballast pack into that. I then cut the H3 bulb cables from the rubber cap, fed the HID bulb wires through that and re-sealed with some silicone to make water-tight...... Definitely mate;) Richard:)
