Abs
As Voddy says, your car will have ABS...... ....all twin turbos did; and most (probably) n/a cars did as well; although I do know that some n/a cars did not have ABS. Richard:cool3:

Upsetting day!
LOL - whilst i have no kids so I cannot relate to your current issue; I can recommend alcohol to deal with having to speak to your wife....... ......joking aside mate, there was a report in the Sunday papers this weekend which said couples who regularly share a bottle of wine once or twice a week are happier than those who don't!! Enjoying a wee drink together is meant to be better than just one of you having the odd jar with mates/alone etc etc.... Enjoy the peace in your house - and like Brian says, look forward to the day you get the house back to yourself! My own folks still miss me - even though I moved miles away from them some years ago - but since I've been gone, they appreciate all the more the time we spend together if I go back for a day or two; or when they come over to mine for a change! What a nice day for zedding.......
Cheers Daz - thing is, I didn't want to stop (not even to take pics) as I was enjoying the drive so much. Hence the 100 miles travelled....LOL!! Although I probably do have a few pics on my PC from other trips out in the ZX..... Richard:winkiss:

Hi from Solihull
Welcome to the club!! Good luck in your search for a 300zx - and you could certainly do a lot worse than check out our "for sale" section as there are a few nice examples on offer; all of which should have the benefit of being looked after by club members... Richard:cool3:

Essex Mechanic and Wheel Alignment
Hi Mike, It's good to see you're still around mate; I hope you're keeping well!! Thanks, as usual, for some sound advice to fellow members.... All the best, Richard:cool3:

Hi all, Which to choose ?
Hi Tony - and welcome to the club.... ...Bartflaster's car looks a great buy; and it's always good to purchase a well maintained example from a club member..... Although for me I would have to buy a twin turbo. No disrespect to all those NAs out there, but even in automatic guise, a TT will always do it for me better than a manual NA. Good luck with whichever car you finally purchase mate! Richard:cool3:

ITV on-demand player techie question.......
Cheers guys..... ....I do have a VGA cable knocking around somewhere; I don't recognize the HDMI cable though but I guess I can buy one. My TV is only about 12-18 months old (which is ancient in technology terms, I know) so I'll investigate in the morning!! Thanks for your help, Richard:cool3:

ITV on-demand player techie question.......
Cheers Dean - I don't have a PS3 or Xbox, but plugging the PC into the TV is an option...... what do the cables/plugs look like?

ITV on-demand player techie question.......
Hi folks, Julia and I have been watching the "Mrs Biggs" mini series, but forgot all about it this Wednesday.... Anyway, I have located the episode on the ITV-player so we can watch it from there. However, do I have to watch it on the PC or is there some way I can download it onto a USB stick or DVD-R so that we can watch it on the TV instead? Any good advice would be welcome!! Thanks... What a nice day for zedding.......
I hadn't driven my ZX since JAE so, as it was a lovely sunny day here in The Chilterns I decided to take the ZX on the Sainsburys run early this morning. I then popped to Halford's for some cleaning bits - but as it was such a nice day I took the scenic route home..... ......I only intended to make a slight detour to give the car a little run; but boy, are these cars addictive!! By the time I got home (much later than anticipated) I had clocked up over a hundred miles!! Richard:sorcerer:

Worrying Noise
No it's not too thin mate - a 5w40 oil is exactly the same as a 10w40 oil once up to running temperature....!! See one of Oilman's many threads on the subject; the lower number before the "w" indicates the oil's ability to circulate quickly around the engine from cold. The lower the number the quicker it will get round during a cold start. The "40" bit indicates the same viscocity once at operating temperature; and its ability to resist thermal breakdown Granted, we hardly ever need anything lower than a "10w" with the winter temperatures we see in the UK, but most readily available fully synthetic oils do come in either "0w" or "5w" nowadays. If you want a genuinly thicker oil then you'd have to go for 10w50 or even 10w60. Although the latter is not really necessary unless you're running a highly modified 300zxTT and use it heavily on the track... Richard:cool3:

Hello to everyone
Welcome to the club mate - and (as said) thank you for your support!! You have a very nice ZX there too..... Richard:cool3:

Best place to put a jack on Zed
Agreed!! The OEM jack, when used at the front, should only be placed under the front door, NOT the wings..... It has the "groove" in it to slip either side of the seam than runs along the sills. There is a section of the chassis just behind this seam, near where the front door meets the frong wing. BUT ensure that the lifting beam of the jack will not foul the seam and bend it out of shape. This is why I always insist on watching when the car is in the tyre fitters or any other garage not familiar with the ZX; as I've had the sill seams straightened out twice now so I've learned from those mistakes. I never worry when it's at Jeff's though....:whistling: Richard:cool3:

Evening all
Hi Jane, Welcome back. There's no gossip or news really so you haven't missed much...... Other than Mikey Bean is not actually gay like we thought, as he now has a thing for Nicci...... .......oh yes, plus me and my mates decided to make StellaZ head moderator. Other than that it's all as it was last time you were here!!! Richard:whistling::cool3:
