  1. From what I remember, the OEM xenons were only standard on the 99-spec TT; they were optional extras for the NA..... I believe:wink:
  2. For all you Ghostbusters fans - RIP Harold.....
  3. For all you Ghostbusters fans - RIP Harold.....
  4. Good point Graham - and probably most likely to affect the drivers' side, since that door/window is used the most throughout the car's life!
  5. ....Or the wiper-arm grommet; that sometimes gets unseated and allows water to pass into the tailgate - which in turn runs into the boot when it gets full; or when you open the tailgate!! In theory the targas should only leak if the rubber has shrunk with age - or if the drain holes are blocked allowing water to build up in the internal gutters! You can buy a silicone rubber "rejuvenator" lubricant spray in Halfords - get some and periodically rub it into the targa seals. It does what it says, reviving the rubber and restoring its sealing ability. I do it every couple of months - the same with the roof seals on the SLK too - not only does it prevent them leaking, but it also reduces the problem of moisture on the inside of the windscreen on cold mornings. Something that has always pissed me off about every SLK I have owned.......:sneaky2: Richard:cool:
  6. Seconded......

  12. Yup - sounds like the same thing Dan...... .......Cheers Jeff; and you're right matey, I have never heard of anyone having PAS overheating issues either! The car is going into the garage for an MOT and oil change on Tuesday - I'll get them to by-pass it with a metal tube or the like:wink: Richard:cool:
  13. Yup - I have a UK spec Dan.... It's the little oil cooler in front of the big oil cooler; if that helps!
  14. Hi folks, I spotted a small blot of oil under the very front of the car this morning - it had run forwards along the under tray before dripping onto the garage floor. It appears to be from the little two-core oil cooler in front of all the other radiators; some of the cooling fins have clearly rusted away and, I suspect, a small hole has formed in one of the cores. The oil is clean, red/pink in colour - so would the 'cooler be for the auto transmission or for the power steering fluid? Also, does anybody have a good 'cooler for sale please:wink: Richard:cool:
  15. Road tax went up £5 p/a from last year matey......

  24. Aw - cute...... Madame Butterfly, if I am not mistaken:wink: LOL - (almost) likewise Si. My great aunt had a black cat of the same name in the 1970s; and yes, I fondly remember her calling the cat in for tea at her home in Ilford when we visited on a sunny Sunday afternoon:lol: Yup - that's him! There is a room named after him (Guy Gibson VC; not the dog) at the hotel we stay at in Cornwall - as the great man was a regular there back in the day:cool:
  25. I like that too - but agree with Si about whether it might not suit a 2+2.... Richard:cool:
