  1. Another nice find Gaz..... .....I have seen a few UK Zeds in yellow too. Quite rare though, as said above; and I always thought that UK cars were flat yellow as opposed to the pearl that was available in Japan (like Sideshowbob's awesome pearl yellow). I also thought, like Si says, yellow was only available on earlier UK spec cars - not like the K-reg in the advert!! Live and learn I guess....:cool: Richard:thumbup:
  2. Yup - IPT is on the increase.... Not ideal, but the government does have to balance the books and continue to pull the country back to its feet again.... Whilst these small increases do add up, a 3.5% increase in tax on base premiums is not going to break the bank for most people. As Si says, it's barely £12 per year on many peoples' policies. Thanks for the post Jeff; although do you still need to maintain a policy in the UK now that you have left us for warmer regions....:wink::cool:
  3. Congratulations to Lewis - good to see a British sporting triumph....:thumbup:
  4. Nice post there Si (Mondo) - thanks for the update mate..... As Gary and Si (Funky) said, looks nice in the advert; but there's no substitute for seeing it in the flesh.....:cool:
  5. Me too.....:bow::drool:
  6. There's the usual hyper-car exotica and six-figure classics on my list - Veyron, Ferrari California, McLaren F1 and P1; Aston DB5, E-type Jag, Cobra..... ......But realistically, I still hanker for a V8. So rather then give up the ZX for a 928, I think my next daily driver might have to be either the latest SLK55 or the Aston V8 Vantage. And whilst I love the Aston - I think realistically it will be the SLK55. More sensible to spend £££s on a 1 year old Mercedes than a 5 year old Aston:wink::sweatdrop: If I had the money though, I think I could me tempted by the new Merc AMG GTS, in white, just like the beast sitting outside Hughes of Beaconsfield the other week...:drool: Richard:biggrin:
  7. Likewise.....:sad: Sorry to see you have to sell up Chris; your car is a long-established piece of the 300zx community and its history. I Hope it goes to a good home and wish you all the best - don't be a stranger on here either mate:clover: Richard
  8. Ditto - much better Art.....:thumbup:
  9. Some good news there Gaz - and nice to see a bit of common sense prevailing.....:cool: You're right - it is just for car dealers; it's a good idea in principle but the consumer will no doubt have to prove the whole car was faulty. I reckon with used cars, that is a grey area. as a single component can be faulty; which if replaced renders the car usable once again. Still any extra protection for the consumer is usually a step in the right direction! Richard
  10. My tuppence worth - for all the aggravation and potential cost of updating the system to work in the UK, you might find it only a few pounds more to purchase a whole new head unit with sat nav, blue tooth etc, all built in..... ......You can get some good deals online at the moment mate; and you'll have a brand new unit backed up with a guarantee, that you know will work 100%! Richard:cool:
  11. Nice one Si - thanks for your support; I knew we could always count on you....:wink::thumbup:
  12. Hi and welcome back Mo.....:thumbup:
  13. That's great news indeed Steve!! Richard:thumbup::clover:
  14. That's the one mate....:wink:
  15. Many happy returns Chris - hope you had a great day mate! Richard:happybday:
  16. Cheers Bri - and you're dead right mate! Sometimes things are on back order, or held up for one reason or another, but communication is the key. And I made it easy each time by asking the question, so all they had to do was reply......:rolleyes: Still, on the upside raising a paypal dispute worked; I now have been refunded in full. The seller's response was laughable though - "Sorry it did not work out for you!" PMSL - sorry they are incompetent more like; nothing like a genuine apology for holding onto my money for 2 months and not bothering to post the item I bought:wink: Richard:wacko:
  17. Hi and welcome to the club Jason..... .....That's a nice looking Zed you have there mate; sorry I cannot help you with its history. Although being in Shrewsbury, you have the advantage of being close to Lee Dent's place if you ever need any work doing to your car...:cool: Richard:thumbup:
  18. Many happy returns Mike - wherever you are these days mate!! Hope you're well.....:happybday: Richard:cool:
  19. No worries mate - just helping to promote the competition; so a few more mentions won't go amiss...... ......And let's not forget there's a £100 Halfords voucher for the winner of COTY.....:biggrin::clover:
  20. Good call Dave - it's the penultimate one before the winners go head to head in COTY this December....:thumbup:
  21. Nope - but then I have been on a tour of the Mini factory, so I didn't think it worth re-living on TV....:wink:
  22. I thought I'd share this, as a few people have recommended a company called Interior Innovations - based in the USA. http://www.interior-innovations.com/ From my experience, they are best avoided. I purchased and paid for a double DIN radio surround over 2 months ago - to date I have received nothing and my (several) e-mails have gone unanswered. I gave them the following ultimatum yesterday and, since they still do not bother to reply, I am going public....:mad: Hi. Again. Sorry to be abrupt – but where is the so-called famous American customer service? I paid you over 2 months ago for a 300zx RHD double din radio surround. I appreciate that it takes longer for deliveries to reach the UK; yet you still cannot extend me the courtesy of a reply. Once more, I ask for an update on my order; if I do not hear from you by 18.00 hrs UK time tomorrow then I will raise a Paypal dispute and seek a full refund. Very poor service – and for the record, I help run the UK 300zx owners’ club; so I will not hesitate to tell our members never to use your company. I await your comments, please do not continue to ignore me. Granted, it's a bit of a cheap shot with the "running the owners' club" comment; but I am far from impressed. So paypal dispute is now raised and hopefully a refund is forthcoming. And a lesson has been learned - it's best to pay a few quid more and buy one from Zcentre, than throw money at clowns like these.....:mad:
  23. Nice Dave; very nice....:thumbup:
  24. Just got it..... So a belated nice work matey......:thumbup:
