hello from wet wales
Welcome to the club Monty - and that's already a fair transformation in the car's appearance since you bought it. Nice work... Good luck with your new toy mate; and if you do need a good ZX garage, you have Lee Dent in Shrewsbury as said above - although from Carmarthen, you're probably nearer to Powerzed in Bristol. Both are respected traders on the forum and come highly recommended. Richard:cool:

new new surveillance laws, good or bad ?
I tend to agree with that too. Not to mention, successive governments have also probably been doing it for years anyway; so in reality nothing will change....... .....However it is scary just how much data is stored on each and every one of us - and it only takes a little of that data to get into the wrong hands......:shifty: I also do not approve of the constant surveillance we are all apparently under. Whether or not you have anything to hide pales into insignificance when it comes to protecting your right to privacy. Again, you may have nothing to hide, but you cannot guarantee someone somewhere will not use it for no good purposes....

Where's Vodkashots...?
Yup - that's about it... So do I - not to mention the odd phone conversation....

Standard Blue or Pearl Blue??
Yup - me too..... .....Black engine bays are not a bad idea; they hide wiring, disguise dirt etc. if yours is not a gleaming show car.... But the best option for any car remains the body colour IMO. What I don't get, though, is why Nissan did not bother to properly finish the under bonnet paintwork on the ZX. Cost cutting, no doubt.....

What did you do to your zed today?
I brought mine out of the garage and popped into High Wycombe for fuel - Shell UL is only £1.04per litre there....... .......But since Julia is going out for the day, I have decided to wash it and add another coat of Beading Marvellous wax...... And as it's going to be dry here for the next few days, I think I'll enjoy using the Zed as daily transport for a bit:wink:

Wanted to officially say goodbye to my car and all the bits out there.

Tyres
Thanks for that feedback on the S001s mate...... I am looking to replace all 4 tyres on my Zed in the next couple of weeks - 265/35/18 rears and 235/40/18 fronts. I have been quoted c£440 all in (fully fitted) for those Bridgestones; a mere c£380 if I want to kill myself and fit Avon ZZ5s - or stick with tried and tested Goodyear F1 Asymmetric 2s for c£480. I have Conti SC5s at the mo - which have also been great but are coming in at c£550-£600. I reckon I'll be going back to the Goodyears again.... Richard:cool:
